Security Agent

Under the supervision of the Director of Security, the Security Agent is responsible for enforcing and carrying out our Security Policies and Procedures for The Boston Garden (“TBG”) while recommending any suggestions to enhance and revise the policies as needed. The Security Agent will need to act as a member of a cohesive team working with other security personnel and the broader staff of the dispensary. The successful candidate must be adept at managing the often-competing demands of customer service and physical security within a busy, regulated, retail environment. In addition, the Security Agent will perform the following duties:
- Monitor the state-of-the-art security systems including alarms, video surveillance, and motion detectors.
- Ensure that only authorized individuals are permitted access to the TBG facility by verifying appropriate ID cards and other forms of identification.
- Ensure all visitors adhere to the correct sign in procedures and protocols.
- Ensure that all customers go through the appropriate intake and registration process.
- Investigate, communicate, and provide leadership in the event of an emergency such as an intrusion, fire, or other threat that jeopardizes customers, authorized visitors, and TBG agents;
- Respond and investigate security situations and alarm calls; clearly document the incident and details surrounding the incident in a written report for the Director of Security;
- Oversee the entrance to the facility and verify the credentials of each person seeking access to the TBG facility;
- Answer routine inquiries;
- Log entries, and maintain visitor log;
- Escort authorized visitors in restricted access areas; and
- Escort TBG agents from the facility during non-business hours and perform security checks at designated intervals.
- Ensure that all video surveillance is functioning appropriately to maintain secure premises and maintain all necessary compliance footage for the Cannabis Control Commission.
- Ensure the secure storage and transfer of cannabis and currency by authorized TBG agents or service providers.
- Ensure that appropriate TBG agents are maintaining correct records and accurate stock keeping of cannabis and currency.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background record check.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- 2+ years’ experience in security and loss prevention, or law enforcement.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience (year for year management experience can be substituted for required degree).
- Preferred experience working in law enforcement or security, loss prevention, data analytics, accurate use of computer-based software systems.
- Ability to obtain any other required licenses.

Dispensary Manager

Under the supervision of the Creative Director, the Dispensary Manager is responsible for managing all day-to-day operations of the dispensary in accordance with the State of Massachusetts and standards set by TBG. The Dispensary Manager provides support and oversight to all Budtenders, operations staff, and other staff members, which includes: scheduling, training, providing policy and procedure updates, keeping updated with industry news and product information. The Dispensary Manager will work closely with the Security Manager to ensure that any incidents are properly recorded, and all compliance procedures are followed to the letter at all times. In addition, the Dispensary Manager will perform the following duties among others:
- Responsible for managing dispensary staff, schedules, inventory, cash management and customer relations;
- Serve as a role model and resource for dispensary staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news and changes in regulations;
- Responds to all agent questions, concerns or suggestions and takes action when necessary to resolve conflicts;
- Responsible for delegating tasks to Budtenders, and other staff in order to maintain a compliant and clean facility.

Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer and the Creative Director, the Security Manager is responsible for the development and overall management of the Security Policies and Procedures for The Boston Garden (“TBG”) while implementing, administering, and revising the policies as needed. In addition, the Security Manager will perform the following duties:
- Provide general training to TBG agents and staff members during new hire orientation or recurrent trainings throughout the year;
- Provide training specific for Security Agents prior to the Security Agent commencing job functions;
- Review and approve incident reports and other reports written by Security Agents prior to submitting to the executive management team—follow up with security agent if needed;
- Maintain lists of agents authorized to access designated areas of the TBG facilities, including cash and product storage vaults, surveillance and network equipment room, and other highly sensitive areas of the TBG facilities;
- Lead a working group comprised of the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and any other designated advisors to ensure the current policies and procedures are properly implemented, integrated, effective, and relevant to ensure the safety of TBG agents and assets;
- Ensure that all required background checks have been completed and documented prior to an agent performing job functions; ensure the agent is granted an appropriate level of access to the facility necessary to complete his/her job functions;
- Conduct monthly security audits and ensure all cameras, access control and alarms systems are functioning properly;
- Maintain all security-related records, incident reports, and other reports written by security agents;
- Evaluate and determine the number of security agents assigned to each shift and proper shift change times; and
- Maintain frequent contact with local law enforcement authorities.
- Maintain positive relationships with our neighbors, regulators, customers, staff members, and other visitors.
- Ensure that we keep in compliance with all required rules like maintaining an accurate visitor log of all business guests
Skills & Qualifications:
