Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to lead the marketing efforts for both Dalwhinnie Farms and Shift brands with products encompassing flower, concentrates, and cartridges. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing statewide and regional marketing strategies to meet the revenue objectives of the company, provide useful and actionable marketing support to the sales team, and maintain robust coordination between the sales and marketing teams.

The Director of Marketing will report directly to the CRO and CEO. The position is full-time with opportunities for on-site, remote, and field work, though living locally in CO (preferably in Denver) is required.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years in a marketing lead / leadership role where you oversaw branding, design, marketing campaigns, event coordination and tracking ROI of these efforts.
- Must be local in CO, preferably in or near the Denver area.
- Experience leading a marketing department for a brand focused on driving and increasing sales in retail environments.
- Excellent media marketing and planning skills and abilities, particularly in digital, print, social media, events and outdoor sponsorships.
- Integrated production campaign experience.
- Works well under pressure, thriving under tight deadlines, and staying within budget.
- Communicates effectively in oral and written forms.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a high level of organization and time management
- In this role, you will help drive sales through marketing efforts both to consumers and to budtenders/retailers.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on launching new product lines under the Shift and Dalwhinnie Farms brands. Own the creative, design, and execution efforts for new product launches.
- Work with the sales team to help design all necessary materials for the field including sales brochures, sales handbook, budtender training materials, promotional fliers, etc.
- Design and coordinate new lines of apparel, merchandise and swag including designing the merch (in collaboration with CRO) and working hand in hand with our merch vendors to see the whole process through.
- Meet with customers, vendors, and partners to develop key relationships
- Work with the sales team to design, implement and track budtender incentive programs with our dispensary partners
- In addition to the Brand/Sales/Marketing needs this role will require managerial tasks supporting event design and coordination.
- Network and establish partnerships with local businesses and organizations to positively impact our two brands.
- Regularly perform consumer market research using customer and Budtender feedback, internal sales data, and external information sources to identify consumer market trends, and report findings to senior leadership.
- Develop recap reports measuring value and ROI of partnerships, sponsorships and events
Compensation: Very competitive compensation, based on experience.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide creative input on improving processes, approaches, strategies across all things related to sales and marketing. You must be comfortable with breaking the current way of doing things to create a better way forward.
- Manage a book of retail clients across Colorado
- Represent the company and its products with exceptional character, integrity, and professionalism.
- Generate sales revenue through implementation of statewide sales strategies
- Work directly with the CRO to develop and execute a highly effective sales strategy
- Establish clear, targeted sales goals and monitor progress-to-goal regularly.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports and present them to the Management Team
- Analyze sales data for key insights
- Coordinate with the marketing team on special initiatives, product launches, events, and overall strategy
- Collaborate with fulfillment and distribution teams to ensure accounts receive exceptional service.
- Help implement a successful CRM platform and utilize the CRM to create ROI in the field.
- Ensure client data, sales orders, and account changes are kept up-to-date in Salesforce.
- Relay customer feedback to internal departments for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 4+ years of sales experience, including a proven track record of success in cannabis sales and sales management in the Colorado market
- (Preference) Have a rolodex of cannabis retailers across Colorado
- Demonstrate an exceptional level of EQ in all professional interactions
- Superior sales skills, including persuasion, overcoming objections, active listening, and negotiation.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- A high degree of integrity and ethical conduct at all times
- Comfortable with technology & computers
- Willingness to travel within the state of Massachusetts on a regular basis
- Strong attention to details
- Salesforce experience
- A genuine and extensive knowledge and passion for cannabis products is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Compensation:
