The Security Officer’s role is the first point of contact for our customers and employees and should protect the safety and well-being of both customers and employees in and around the Provisioning Center facility and retail locations. The Security Officer is also responsible for safeguarding the financial interests of the institution, and therefore, might be instructed to protect cash registers, vaults, or the items in the store. The Security Officer reports directly to the Security Manager.
Your day to day will include the following:
- Help to ensure a safe and enjoyable shopping experience for all consumers.
- Help to ensure a safe and productive workplace environment for all employees.
- Monitor security and surveillance systems.
- Prevent financial damage caused by shoplifting, robbery, or similar dangers.
- Partner with local police department to remove potentially harmful or threatening persons from the retail store or area.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Help settle any disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others on the facility grounds.
- Coordinate security around the delivery and/or receipt of marihuana products from Secure Transporters.
Skills needed to be successful in this role:

- Corrections or Security experience preferred, Law Enforcement or Military service a plus.

· Follow established SOP’s and Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) under guidance of Cultivation Manager
· Implement all aspects of the cultivation process life cycle from clone to harvest
· Follow direction/instructions of supervisors
· Keep organized records of all activities performed as designated by Cultivation Manager
· Execute various cultivation related techniques precisely and consistently
· Facilitate room setup, nutrient mixing, transplanting, harvesting and maintenance of plants including pruning, trellising and irrigation
· Implement fertigation program in coordination with Cultivation Manager
· Identify plant nutrient deficiencies and report to Cultivation Manager
· Conduct routine inspection of plants and scout for early signs of pest, disease, environmental and nutrient issues
· Identify potential issues of plant health and report them to Cultivation Manager

· Maintain proper sanitation at all times in all cultivation and work areas

Job Purpose:
A highly-motivated “people-person” to support the daily operations of the Provisioning Center facility including; direct patient and caregiver sales, cash handling processes, inventory management, customer service, regulatory compliance, patient communication, patient education and orientation, patient information management, and all steps necessary to maintain compliance with state law/regulations. Serve as the primary point of contact with facility customers and outwardly represent the organization’s values. The Sales Associate position reports directly to the Assistant Manager and Store Manager.
Duties:
- Adhere to all policies, process, procedures, roles, and responsibilities.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized work environment.
- Must comply with HIPAA guidelines.
- Work with marketing team to increase sales and patient volumes.
- Communicate patient complaints, issues, etc. to management personnel.
- Communicate marketing, sales, and promotional opportunities and benefits to facility customers.
- Provide marketing, social media, and educational content recommendations to management.
- Secure and organize all patient files and assure new patient orientations are fully completed.
- Comply with company cash handling polices.
- Serve as primary contact at the facility to educate patients on medical marihuana medicinal properties and selection of proper genetics or products per the patient’s desired effect or per specific medical ailment.
- Manage POS and state Metrc database transnational entries.
- Assist management with verifying the receipt of new supplies and equipment, etc.
- Assist management in daily perpetual inventory system (BioTrackTHC POS).
- Maintain a culture of high quality customer service and patient communication.
- Execute customer service and quality surveys as assigned by management.
- Daily compliance with provisioning center policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, inventory tracking, dress code, and work schedules.
- Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
- Assist with facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary including phone, utilities, technology, maintenance, repairs, stock and supplies. Notify management about operational issues (e.g. HVAC, security systems, plumbing, technology, etc.).
- Contribute to team environment and company advancement per strategic direction set by management.
- Notify manager about any customer or product concerns.
- Participate in company charitable or community events.
Skills/qualifications:

· Develop and implement fertigation program in coordination with Director of Cultivation
· Identify plant nutrient deficiencies and adjust fertilization regimen as needed
· Conduct routine inspection of plants and scout for early signs of pest, disease, environmental and nutrient issues
· Identify potential issues of plant health and report them to Director of Cultivation
· Assist in IPM program development, training and implementation in coordination with Director of Cultivation
· Responsible for data organization and input – Nutrient (EC/pH/temperature), environmental parameters, pest incidence and plant maintenance
· Provide weekly progress reports and meet as needed with Director of Cultivation to discuss all relevant aspects of cultivation
· Maintain appropriate employee scheduling to efficiently meet production requirements
· Conduct periodic employee performance evaluations
· Manage supply inventory and generate purchase orders to submit to Director of Cultivation
· Facilitate proper equipment calibration and maintenance
· Ensure proper sanitation is maintained at all times in all cultivation and work areas
· Ensure all team operations are within compliance of Michigan State Laws and Regulations
Requirements:
· Degree in horticulture, agriculture, plant sciences or equivalent
· Possess an advanced understanding of irrigation practices, plant nutrient requirements and signs of deficiencies
· Have extensive knowledge of Cannabis pests and diseases and their prevention and treatment
· Proficient with MS Word, Excel as well as METRC/BioTrack
· Must be highly motivated and possess a positive attitude
· Ability to perform well independently as well as in a team environment
· Meticulous attention to detail
· Ability to perform grasping, carrying, sitting, standing, bending, squatting and repetitive motions
· Must be able to lift, push and carry up to 30 pounds
· Able to reach above shoulder, balance and have the motor abilities to operate tools
· Experience with team leadership
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Able to hear or understand and provide instructions in English
· 5 years cultivation or nursery experience
· Be 21 years of age and pass a comprehensive background screening
· Must be able to acquire a Michigan Marijuana Operations License
