MiMeds in Kalamazoo, MI is looking for an assistant grower for our cultivation facility. Our ideal candidate demonstrates proven industry knowledge and/or experience, takes direction, is motivated and reliable, and thrives in an ever-changing industry. This position is one of a small team in an adult-use class c grow. The position is not narrowly defined due to the small scale of the grow, this means the potential candidate will be expected to be involved with every aspect of operations. Every growth stage will be encompassed in this position, from cloning to integrated pest management to general cleaning to harvesting and curing.
Must be able to:
· Be clean and reliably able to show up to work free of insect or fungal contaminates
· Able to work 45 hrs. per week, weekdays and some weekends if needed
· Able to be on call for emergencies
· Able to do physical labor regularly and lift and move 50lb objects frequently
· Able to work longer than 8 hrs. per day if required
· Ability to pass a background check required.
· Be 21 years of age or older
· Work with directors to schedule grow timelines and harvest plans
· Ability to work solo or with a team
· Ability to work 8hr shifts standing
· Ability to crouch or bend for extended periods of time
Desired knowledge of candidate:
· Ability to use Metrc tracking system
· Know and understand all stages of cannabis growth, clone, vegetative, and bloom
· Able to spot, identify and assign treatment for cannabis pathogens and pest
· Know and understand drip irrigation systems

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities for Asset Protection
- Monitor campus and cameras
- Doing Logs in O365
- Identify potential theft or vandalism among staff and patrons
- In some instances, monitor displays or Inventory rooms
- Report detailed information on suspected theft
- Document and report detailed information about theft or any other security violations
- Investigate and resolve safety concerns, issues, or violations of MRAs rules
- Maintaining a safe work environment for employees and service providers and a safe retail environment for customers
- Collaborate with management to compile safety concerns, issues, or violations.
- Work closely with the Asset Protection Supervisors and Manager to make sure that all compliance requirements concerning video, record keeping, reporting, and storage compliance issues are met
- Be knowledgeable of all applicable laws and regulations
- Advise, make recommendations, and assist in the formulation of goals and objectives
- Contribute to a dynamic, collaborative, and positive team environment and culture
- Conduct staff protective security awareness campaigns and promotions
- Prepare reports and records for the management team and regulatory officials
- Exercise independent judgment to carry out overall responsibilities and other activities as assigned
- Participate in implementing broad operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ensure all segments of the company remains in compliance with security protocols and local and state regulations
- Enforce regular safety audits and routine checks of facilities
- Keep up with regularly changing rules and regulations and ensure understanding and implementation
- Other tasks as needed, or as per changes to the above list
Other responsibilities include staying up to date on all Michigan marijuana laws; ensuring every customer’s ID gets checked by appropriate staff to prevent selling to underage customers; Any experience in any licensed marijuana facility is preferred but is not a requirement. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in law enforcement and/or the military.

We’re seeking a candidate to fill an Information Technology Specialist role. The ideal candidate will use best practices to set up and configure all IT needs for its managed locations. Candidates should exhibit high levels of integrity, honesty, and commitment, and have a strong technical knowledge within Information Technology. Our Information Technology is responsible for user account creations, hardware & software installations/configuration, application training & development, back-end integrations, and API integrations. Utilizing a Microsoft 365 hybrid environment, our aim is to custom-build IT solutions within Microsoft’s Power Automate & Power Apps for operations within the organization. Candidates must be able to lift upwards of 50 lbs alone. Also, Candidates will find themselves, standing, climbing, crouching, bending, and sitting on a regular basis.
