Operations Manager - Nevada
Kushy Punch, the leading premium producer of top-quality products in the cannabis industry, is currently looking for an Operations Manager to oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The ideal Operations Manager will be responsible for developing processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure manufacturing environments are brand appropriate (i.e. positive, reassuring, energetic, encouraging, educational and welcoming).
- Ensure operational priorities, processes and procedures are communicated and understood by everyone within the production team.
- Assure the cost-effective manufacturing of quality pharma-grade cGMP compliant product
- Maintain perpetual inventory of raw and packaging materials and proactively procure them when needed and to maintain manufacturing continuity.
- Continuously place importance in the organizational goals and visions in relation to:
- Safety and security of employees and product.
- Compliance to all policies, regulations, and laws set forth by the city, county and state as required to ensure security of the operating license.
- Quality of product and packaging.
- On-time delivery and customer service.
- Cultivation of leadership values and support of plant personnel.
- Process Performance.
- Regulatory Audits (State and city, Quality, Safety, Environment, and Compliance).
- Be in the Compounding and Packaging areas frequently to coordinate and monitor production, direct the resolution of production delays and oversee other production related issues. Effectively delegate routine tasks when appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate team headcount as to execute the current production schedule in a timely manner to meet customer demand.
- Communicate often and train effectively cross-functionally to continually educate manufacturing team regarding product knowledge and operational processes.
- Partner with facility Compliance Team to monitor and maintain proper manufacturing METRC compliance controls and with all federal/state regulations documentation.
- Champion short- term projects with the team and support continuous improvement processes to achieve operational excellence and to meet internal or external customer expectations.
- Lead the team in the implementation of new products and process improvements.
- Serve as a leader that is hands on within the operation.
- Work closely with Human Resources to create, support and maintain a sufficiently manned engaged and team-oriented workforce to meet business demands.
- Report on departments progress and performance towards KPI's to General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Production management in the food/beverage or pharmaceutical industry desired
- 3+ years of experience with direct reports
- 2+ years of experience with production manager title, or 5+ years of experience as high-level production supervisor
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to positively influence people; must be capable of effectively interacting at all levels in the organization
- Detail oriented with an eye on process optimization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it.
- Excellent communication skills and leadership both verbally and through written documentation.
- Must be able to handle constructive criticism and guidance and offer the same to others in the department.
- Ability to articulate job goals in a manner so they are completed effectively from the first time.
- Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds if relevant to job duties listed above.
- Through extended periods, must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday.Have or able to obtain a Nevada Cannabis Agent Card.
- At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US; reliable transportation; valid driver's license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
