Fun but fast paced Sales environment. After completing training Wellness Associates regularly earn between $22-30/hr with tips included.
Responsibilities for a wellness associate include but are not limited to:
Opening and Closing duties which include; patio setup/breakdown, cleaning duties, restocking product displays, lighting on/off, signage setup/taken down and trash to dumpster.
Greeting customers, providing information on products, knowledge of what product to recommend based on Customers description, product pricing, daily special schedule.
Desire to learn, maintain, and provide product knowledge to guide customers to the appropriate Hemp products including features, benefits, and overall value.
Responsible for sales and positive customer experience.
Ability to learn and use Point of Sale (POS) system (Square).
Learn Shopify with ability to add/manage products and fill/create orders.
Correct cash handling and discount application.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional customer service skills
Ability to learn about hemp products and therapies in order to assist customers.
Knowledge of basic computer skills, Point of Sale software, and cash handling procedures.
Possess a fun attitude and strong work ethic.
Exhibit a strong attention to detail and possess a team player mentality.
Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies.
Maintain a clean and tidy work and retail space - this means wiping down all surfaces, sweeping/mopping floors, and removing trash.
Present a professional, tidy appearance and good personal hygiene.
Schedule needs to be flexible. Kanna is open 7 days per week between the hours of 11am-10pm. Candidates must have customer service experience, be familiar with Hemp/Cannabis products, be personable, professional, and have a positive attitude.

This role motivates and organizes our team of sales associates while ensuring customer satisfaction, safety, product quality, security & compliance within the store. One of their main focuses is being responsible for overseeing the stores inventory activities that include receiving and recording new product, moving product within the store as needed and effectively monitoring supply to ensure there are no shortages. Also, the store manager will work collaboratively with Kanna owners and independently when they are not on-site, and is able to follow through with the overall operations of the store.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Store Operations
- Interviewing and training new retail staff
- Holding retail staff accountable for behavior, attendance, and cash discrepancies consistent with Kanna policies and procedures.
- Reconciling retail cash; review for and record cash retail drawer discrepancies.
- Overseeing the schedule and ensure it stays within the weekly payroll budget.
- Serving as the point of contact for all schedule issues.
- Managing, distributing, and organizing retail employee disciplinary action forms; escalating issues and needs from the staff.
- Scheduling training and managing documentation of training and continuing education.
- Proficient in management, compliance and retail point of sale tools.
- Maintaining a consistent level of communication between the floor and management, as well as a consistent level of work quality throughout the team.
- Aid in sourcing new brands through market research.
- Work with production to order products and maintain appropriate levels.
- Participation in bi-weekly staff meetings.
- Act as relief when the retail floor is busy.
- Help with flow of retail floor.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
1 year of related industry experience preferred
5 years management experience
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Proven experience and strong abilities in educating and motivating others to manage business effectively
Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate effectively both verbally and in writing, and influence at all levels, gain commitment and initiate action
Candidates will be subject to a background check
Candidates should be prepared to adapt to frequent/last minute adjustments to daily schedules, give special attention to detail, documentation and organization
Periodic team reviews, market surveys, competitive pricing surveys, and general sales meetings with owners
Lead team meetings and 1:1 meetings
Partner with Marketing to understand brand health and needs
Conduct post-promotional analysis
