 Learn and maintain continual awareness and understanding of the complete set of specific rules and regulations determined by the law and by the BCC
 Ensure department remains fully compliant through coordinated and blind audits
 Perform administrative duties such as staff scheduling, data entry, data transmitting, phone answering, communication drafting, etc.
 Use strong written and verbal communication skills, including writing executive summaries and communicating with senior level operations, quality management team, and regulatory agencies
 Be detail and documentation oriented
 Utilize critical thinking to troubleshoot issues, work collaboratively with a team to brainstorm solutions, and implement improvement solutions
 Manage personnel, including performance management, setting vision, priorities, etc.
 Comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
 Oversees Inventory Department to maintain inventory control system and perform bi-weekly counts of all products on the retail floor as well as products in the facility
 Oversees Delivery Department to ensure accurate order information and timeliness of deliveries
 Review Standard Operating Procedures to determine what quality control measures are appropriate for facility
 Design and install facility specific quality control systems to ensure all products have passed appropriate tests for each stage of production
 Immediately install any corrective actions necessary to ensure regulations and quality standards are met
 Design and participate in training needed to ensure quality control standards are met by facility and department
 Responsible for management of all quality related activities at the site - Intricate part of the site leadership team
 Leads product investigations, helping to assess risk, identify root cause, plans, and implementing solutions with business partners
 Assist with modifying policies and procedures through document writing and revisions
 Reviews batch documentation, test results, and good documentation practices
 Participates in inspections and audits as needed or as assigned
 Collaborates with operational functions to troubleshoot production defects, provides advice with process improvements to eliminate errors and reduce risk
 Monitor’s compliance to established current good manufacturing practices (CGMP)
 Conducts all duties in compliance with safety rules, applicable sops, and other applicable guidelines
 Coordinate meetings and or conferences between departments to go over daily/ weekly/ monthly/ quarterly meetings
 Conduct daily meetings with operations to establish oversight presence and personal accountability at all facilities
 Coordinate with operations to ensure teams have proper understanding of the procurement process for supplies and equipment needed to effectively operate the department
 Select, install, create/modify, and maintain the appropriate software(s) to properly operate and document all quality control systems
 Learn various internal inventory control systems including METRC, IndicaOnline, others
 Implement monitoring operations
 Utilizing inspection forms, check lists and other means of metering and monitoring
 Create/review reports from data collection and explain to operations and management where improvements can be made
Qualifications:
 Come from a company with a minimum of $20 million in sales
 No Cannabis Experience Necessary
 Bachelor’s Degree, or 5+ years’ experience or equivalent in a quality role
 Prior experience in highly regulated industry: healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceutical, legal, consumer packaged goods (food), Cannabis.Highly desirable: FDA, HACCP, GFSI experience i.e., SQF, BRC, etc.
 Prior experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control function
 Prior experience with product sampling, inspection procedures, customer complaints, product investigations, and CAPA
 Prior experience in regulatory agency audits and correspondence
 Ability to follow written procedures and monitor others for adherence to written procedures
 Ability to create or update written procedures with site operations personnel, facility management and executive management
 Experience with various internal inventory control systems (METRC & IndicaOnline) preferred by not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
