- Assist with the coordination of all grow operations including: Daily Activities, Quality Assurance, Potting, Manicuring, Harvesting, and Trimming as well as assuring compliance with local, state, and federal licensing requirements.

DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
The Dispensary Manager will oversee the operation of the dispensary. This person will work to improve dispensary sales, profitability, and image through extraordinary customer service, protection of store assets, and supervision of the Dispensary team members. The Dispensary Manager will strive to meet compliance requirements, ensure processes and policies are followed and model Freedom Road’s level of professionalism and expertise within the Cannabis industry.
Accountabilities:
- Monitor and analyze the customer service provided by team members. Offers feedback and coaching.
- Greet patients and offer assistance with products and services to customers.
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal communication and Freedom Road’s professionalism and expertise of the cannabis industry.
- Resolve customer complaints and help respond to customers' special needs.
- Exceptional customer service.
- Responsible for Cash Handling
- Seed to Sale software will be used.
- Adhere to all OMMA laws and regulations
- Coach and counsel Dispensary team members while maintaining positive working relationships
- Approach uncomfortable and difficult situations with Dispensary customers with professionalism and respect while working toward a positive outcome.
- Responsible for product inventory control
- Proficient knowledge of all dispensary operations and functions
- Computer & equipment operations necessary for running an office/retail center (POS systems; Microsoft Office -Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)
- Familiarity with history and varieties of medical marijuana preferred
- Outstanding phone and in-person customer service skills

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage operation of the dispensary and team members, opening/closing/changing shifts, task delegation and scheduling team members
- Manage the control of the store cash flow including register counts, withdraws from the bank, armored car pickups, safe deposits, change orders and oversees all aspects of bookkeeping including ledger, invoicing, cash reports and time records.
- Analyze inventory trends and oversee inventory management, including ordering items, keeping stock, and leveraging company resources to avoid outs and overstock.
- Manage receiving, stocking, pricing, returning, and transferring of merchandise. * Ensures that Dispensary and grounds are clean and presentable; manage repair and maintenance; respond to emergencies.
- Manage operations of assigned location including strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software (e.g. registers, POS, etc.). Ensure response to all systems problems by contacting information technology support and seek solutions.
- Comply with Freedom Road’s company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with team members.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned, including assisting team members as needed.
- Willing to travel to other locations for training and/or coverage
- Assign daily operational responsibilities and tasks and set expectations for Dispensary team members and assistant managers.
- Review and analyzes asset protection data and develops and implement action plans to reduce loss.
- Manage team member performance by assigning responsibilities, setting goals and expectations, observing performance, providing feedback and giving recognition. Manages employee career progression.
- Ensure training of team members; provides coaching and mentoring.
- Consult the Freedom Road Human Resources department for needed corrective action plans and execution of disciplinary action.
- Promote teamwork and motivate team members by establishing expectations, tracking results, showing enthusiasm, and sharing the vision.
- Ensure compliance with all OMMA policies and procedures
- Must display strict adherence to applicable employment laws, and consistency in fair treatment of all team members always.
- Develop and deliver performance management for direct reports, such as training and personal development.
- Participate in company and on-the-job training to improve skills and productivity; attend training requested by the Ownership team, General Manager, Human Resources, and other company leaders.
- Follow performance improvement plans offered by Ownership team, General Manage, and/or Human Resources.
- Seek self-development by monitoring personal performance, setting high personal standards, learning about the fields of retail, medical, and management, seeking best practices.
- Communicate regularly with Dispensary team members through one-on-one discussions, group meetings, soliciting input, answering questions, and ensuring the lines of communication are open between management and non-management team members.
- Assist in planning and attending community events.
- Maintains a clean, safe, welcoming environment inside and outside the facility
- Other duties may be assigned according to Company needs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Skills/Competencies required:

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

- Experience in the medical cannabis industry desirable
- Experience with METRC preferred
- Medical office and seed to sale software experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Experience with office and retail equipment (phones, POS system, copy machine, etc.)
- Must be able to work weekends and some holidays
- Adherence to OMMA regulations

- Responsible for executing assigned tasks, projects, and expectations in accordance with Freedom Road Garden’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
- Responsible for completing any work assigned to them during their scheduled shift, as well as information sharing: Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers and report employee issues or product situations.
- Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties.
- Responsible for performing detailed manicuring of plant materials, running the trim machine, sorting trim, weighing, and recording all plant material and waste accurately.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge and adherence to the policies, procedures and goals of Freedom Road Garden and its clients.
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences.
- Basic math skills and ability to properly operate a scale.
- Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work independently throughout a workday with given directives.
- Ability to work well in a Team Oriented Environment.
Work Environment-
This job operates in a greenhouse environment. Conditions are often humid, hot, and bright. Standard gardening equipment is often used in this job.
Physical Demands-
This is an active position requiring regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day. The position requires talking and hearing as well as visual activity. Employees must frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Expected Hours of Work-
Days and hours of work may vary by scheduling or seasonal needs. Evening and weekend work may be required.
Additional Requirements
Must be 21 or older.
Must be occupationally licensed to work in the MMJ industry.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
