Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Knows how to grow plants using a hydroponic method or commercial growing, horticulture or farming job history
- Manages the growing plan
- Maintains the environmental settings and irrigation practices
- Maintains all documentation
- Implements strategic yield enhancement practices
- Trouble shooting
- Record keeping
- Safety/Compliance
- Testing, lab and internal
- Responsible for maintaining the quality of products
- Monitors and manages all growing components of the operation
- Responsible for planting and harvesting plants
- Delivers and pick-up products as needed
- Drains and re-fills reservoirs
- Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the facility
- All other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED);
Training: Must stay current and adhere to all policy and regulations of the organic hydroponic growing practices.
Knowledge:
- Excellent language, and reasoning skills
- Knowledge and familiarity with hydroponic growing preferred
- Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, and achieves results with little oversight
- Adapts to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities
- Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks
- Displays an ongoing commitment to learning and self-improvement
- Manages own time, priorities, and resources to achieve goals
- Earns others’ trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to individually lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to handle labor-centric work
- Must be able to sit, stand, stoop crouch, reach, and lift for at least 4 hours at a time
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and insurable by our company policy without significant problems in driving history during last 5 years.
