The outside Sales Representative for FLWRpot is a client-facing role and requires both strategic long-term planning and short-term execution and support. We are seeking a Sales Representative with a track record of growth and demonstrated long-term relationship development and maintenance. A highly motivated and driven individual with the ability to multitask and problem solve to hit sales targets and achieve goals set by the company. The Sales Representative will be responsible for selling FLWRpot’s premium cannabis products across the Michigan market with the ultimate goal of maximizing sales and building personal client relationships with all accounts.
As a member of the FLWRpot team you will be responsible for building brand and product awareness in the Michigan market with an emphasis on high quality, craft cannabis. At FLWRpot we value all our client partnerships and strive to maintain a close relationship with each individual account. The ideal Sales Representative must be a natural communicator, detail orientated, highly organized, and comfortable negotiating and closing sales.
Reports To: Director of Cultivation
Compensation: $35,000 - 55,000+ base salary plus commissions
Additional Compensation: Health Benefits, PTO, Benefits
Standard Schedule: Mon – Fri, 9:00am – 5:00pm (occasional weekend and/or extended hours as needed)
Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and build current client relationships.
- Meeting customer needs by providing excellent service and products.
- Establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
- Achieve monthly sales goals.
- Meets regularly with the Cultivation leadership to set goals and track customer sales.
- Maintain positive customer relationships through consistent communication.
- Educate customers and their teams for best possible end-consumer experience.
- Assist with distribution of customer orders.
- Provide up-to-date product menus for customers to select from.
- Communicate with Distribution regarding customer orders and expectations.
- Maintain working knowledge of all product SKU’s, pricing, and availability.
- Stay current on market trends and changes in supply/demand.
- Grow shelf space allocation in Key Accounts.
- Additional assignments as directed by Cultivation leadership
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to travel to customer accounts within the state of Michigan.
- Expert knowledge of cannabis products and consumer behavior.
- Inventory management experience.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working in the cannabis industry.
- 2+ years of outside sales experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass a Background Check as required by the State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
- Valid form of photo identification
- Clean driving record
