Overview:
Qualifying candidates for this position will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on Organic Farms (recommended) and have an adept understanding of organic farming practices, a meaningful grasp of season extension technology, and demonstrable skills in operating and maintaining farm equipment, i.e. tractors; rototillers; spray rigs; compost spreaders.
Additionally, candidates will possess strong communication skills, both written and oral, and have working knowledge of MS Office/Apple OSX with at least competency in Excel/Google Sheets/Apple Numbers.

Experience growing cannabis is not required, but helpful if done at scale (2-3+ acres) and outdoor.
General Tasks & Daily Workflow will include:
Propagation:   
-Handling and use of growing medium (soil) 
-Seeding & Plant Start Care 
-Irrigating and monitoring germination 
-Monitoring of RH, VPD, TEMP 
-Sexing and culling non-feminized seeds 
Plant care:  
-Look out for plant stress & disease, drought 
-Monitor plant health and signs of disease/insect pressure 
-Check for males, check for Hermaphrodites, and early flowering 
-Defoliation 
-Topping 
-Thinning 
-Monitoring Soil temperature 
-Recording waste by location in METRC & Updating Excel Sheet 
Irrigation:  
-Watering on a regular schedule  
-Irrigation system is functioning and not leaking excessively  
-Tanks & pumps are functional working properly  
Fertilization:  
-Following prescribed nutrient dosage schedule 
-Scouting and monitoring nutrient deficiencies 
-Hand-application of compost teas 
-Mixing and fertigation of soluble nutrients 
-Application of specific fertilizer for Vegetative & Flowering stages 
IPM (integrated pest management)
-Hanging and monitoring sticky traps 
-Scouting for pests and pest damage 
-Deployment of Biological Control Agents (beneficial insects) 
-Application of allowable contact/systemic products 
-Checking for Powdery Mildew & Bud rot 
Hardening Off Plants:  
-Ensure Plants are moved in METRC 
-Move Plants to the Hardening-Off area prior to Transplant 
-Monitor moisture levels and Irrigate 
-Manage Hardening-off Area environment: Venting, opening & closing of doors 
-Shade cloth ON & Off 
Field Preparation Assistance:  
-Work alongside Field Operations Director and assist in all field prep activities 
-Turning in Cover crop 
-Pulling tarps over areas to be tilled 
-Picking up rocks 
-Removing obstacles for tractor 
Bed Preparation:  
-Assistance applying compost and amendments 
-Application of drip-tape 
-Installation of raised beds and plastic mulch 
-Maintenance and or re-building or living rows 
Irrigation Set-Up and Testing:  
-Installation of all drip tape & related components 
-Installation of Header & flow valves 
-Operation of pump and valves 
-Inspection of irrigation system for functionality & repair of leaks 
Transplanting:  
-Ensuring depth of hole is correct 
-Removing Rocks 
-Ensuring transplanted plants have adequate support with Stakes, or support equipment 
-Irrigate once transplanting is completed 
Close-out of Fields for Winter:  
-Remove drip tape and header and store for winter 
-Pull T-posts 
-Remove trellis and farm Trash 
-Assist in spreading cover crop 
-Clean-up and prepare all assets for winter
Packaging/Processing
-Running machinery
-Closing/tubing/labelling joints
Employees also have a rotating schedule of cleaning tasks (sweeping/mopping floors, taking out the trash, cleaning the bathrooms)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work in a face-paced role, interacting with numerous hiring managers, assisting them with their staffing needs;
- Deliver a superb candidate experience that begins with the initial phone call all the way through onboarding;
- Act as a representative on behalf of EOS and on behalf of candidates/employees in order to maintain the best talent in the cannabis industry;
- Evaluate applications, screen all qualified candidates, schedule & conduct phone interviews;
- Prepare and facilitate qualified candidates for on-site interviews.
- Support new hire and onboarding processes, including background CORI checks, and Agent Registration Cards;
- Maintain HR systems, including Onboarding and PTO management, and general information accuracy;
- Coordinate with payroll;
- Assist with various HR-related special projects and reports on an ongoing or ad hoc basis;
- Perform a variety of other tasks as necessary to support the HR team and carry out day-to-day responsibilities.
- Partners closely with the HR Director and senior business leadership to ensure consistent practices, procedures, and HR strategies are being executed
- Maintains and applies in-depth knowledge of applicable employment law requirements in a manner that reduces legal risks and ensures Federal, State and local compliance
- Proactively advises officers and managers of any relevant action items and drafts new or revised policies and/or procedures to ensure adherence to requirements
- Works with managers and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and engagement to enhance employee satisfaction.

Full Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cultivate, harvest, and dry wet cannabis plants, maintaining care throughout the process;
- Manicure, trim, buck dry flowers for quality presentation and packaging.
- Develop an understanding of various strains, styles, and types of marijuana, adjusting their trimming techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality;
- Measure and package for consistency and quality presentation of premium cannabis products;
- Accurately weigh and record post-harvest materials and manage cultivation waste;
- Execute plant destruction and plant waste destruction in compliance with company, local and state policies;
- Accurately track, count, and record all plants using our traceability systems in compliance with company, local and state policies;
- Document all activity in Massachusetts traceability program, METRC;
- Consistently perform daily assigned tasks;
- Happily perform other duties as assigned;
- Always remain compliant. Follow all SOPs, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties.
- Maintain open communication with management team and co-workers.
- Actively participate in team meetings and group communication
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Marijuana or agriculture harvesting experience is a plus, but not required;
- Ability to read, understand, and implement procedures contained within our training material and SOPs.
- Must be able to communicate efficiently, verbally and in writing.
- General knowledge of weights and measurement and packaging.
- Experience working with basic agricultural harvesting equipment.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain flexibility regarding work hours as it applies to harvesting requirements.
PHYSICAL
- This position includes considerable physical activity. The candidate must be able to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods of time and perform other functions necessary to agricultural product harvesting and packaging.
- Must lift 50 lbs.
