JOB SUMMARY:
EEL Holdings LLC operates active brick-and-mortar cannabis retailers / dispensaries throughout Southern California, with multiple additional brick-and-mortar cannabis retailers / dispensaries in Southern California set to open in 2020. EEL’s Master Cultivator will serve as an executive-level employee that reports directly to EEL’s CEO and COO and is responsible for implementing and overseeing the operation of a corporate-level cannabis grow legally overlaid and integrated with EEL’s brick-and-mortar cannabis retailers / dispensaries / manufacturing.
The assistant director of cultivation operations is the deputy chief executive officer of the cultivation operation and has direct authority, control, or supervision over all personnel who engage in the cultivation of cannabis and cannabis products. Works directly with the Master Grower to ensure the farm is ran at maximum efficiency producing the best product possible.
Must be willing to relocate or be local to Calaveras County, CA to maintain full-time presence during growing season.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Duties:
· Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and cultivation practices under the direction of the cultivation management.
·Transplanting, watering, pruning, cleaning, feeding, and fertilizing.
·Maintaining all feeding, watering, and pH logs, reporting any discrepancies or problems immediately.
·Checking plants daily for evidence of mold or pests and report any findings.
·Documenting daily cultivation activities and reporting concerns.
·Maintaining and cleaning equipment.
·Cleaning, sterilizing and maintaining cultivation facility, including some janitorial tasks.
·Follows and completes harvest, trim, and packaging plan.
·Performs harvest, trim, and packaging processes.
·Maintain awareness of inventories of harvest and trim support supplies to included but not limited to gloves, isopropyl alcohol, cleaning supplies, etc.
·Reports to their direct supervisor on potential bottlenecks, harvest hazards, trim and/or forecasting concerns.
·Ensures the stability and reputation of the cultivation facility by complying with legal requirements at the local and state levels to include engaging software applications to uphold compliance.
·Ensure packaging and labeling compliance in all operations, including but not limited to bulk packaging, prepackaging, shipping/receiving, and waste disposal.
·Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional working environment.
·Perform other various packaging duties under the direction of a supervisor as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
·Be at least 21 years of age.
·Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
·Must have a high school diploma or GED.
·Previous agricultural experience; cannabis cultivation experience preferred.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and agricultural equipment systems.
·Ability to perform general mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and currency handling skills.
·Must be able to individually lift up to 50lbs.
·Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods of time.

· Physical effort/lifting includes objects up to 50 pounds.
· Working weekends, nights, and holidays depending on business needs.

The Director of Cultivation Operations is in charge of the companies legal grow operation located in Calaveras County, CA and has direct authority, control, or supervision over all personnel who engage in the cultivation of cannabis and cannabis products.
Must be willing to relocate or be local to Calaveras County, CA to maintain full-time presence during growing season.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
EEL's Master Cultivator will be required to ensure compliance with all State and local rules and regulations, and directly supervises the activity within the cultivation operation including but not limited to cultivation staff training, education, and:
· Manage the cultivation team across propagation, cultivation, and harvest.
· Operate and maintain automated climate-control systems.
· Propagate all vegetative stock and transition successfully into the flower production areas.
· Manage production plans, schedules and daily tasks to keep flower production healthy and on-schedule.
· Manage multiple indoor and / or outdoor areas of flowering cannabis
· Manage execution of all plant maintenance, fertigation programs, IPM, etc.
· Work with the executive team to forecast production.
· Manage pest pressure using IPM and environmental control techniques.
· Generate cultivation protocols and fertilization program including spray schedule and nutrient feeding schedule.
· Assess plant health, monitor and create regular solutions to issues.
· Adjust fertilization program based on environmental factors and crop type.
· Maintain a clean, pest and disease-free environment.
· Oversight with the inventory control manager regarding track and trace program implementation.
· Directs and monitors personnel to accomplish goals of the cultivation operating plan, consistent with established safety procedures.
· Establishes methods to follow the cultivation operating plan in compliance with all State and local rules and regulations.
· Supervises and performs inventory control actions such as receiving, counting and inspecting for quality.
· Maintains records required by public health law and ensures quality assurance plans, including but not limited to plans to detect, identify, and prevent distribution errors related to product packaging and labeling.
· Manages and implements policies and procedures for the return of cannabis and cannabis products, the storage and/or disposal of such products, and meeting reporting requirements for adverse events and product recall.
· Implement HR policies and programs in support of company initiatives; direct all compliance efforts for the company to minimize risk.
· Ensure job descriptions for all positions are accurate and current.
· Conduct investigations: respond to unemployment claims, EEOC, DOL, and/or employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civic rights complaints.
· Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
· Conduct performance reviews with employees and monitor employee productivity, attitudes, and performance results.
· Implement HR related software systems in collaboration with IT partners
· Recruit and retain top quality staff for each department; conduct interviews.
· Manage talent acquisition and workforce management plan.
· Manage leave administration practices.
· Maintain excellent facilities conducive to enhancing employee productivity.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· Five or more years of experience managing a cannabis cultivation operation.
