About us
Digipath Labs is an ISO-17025 accredited lab under the newly revised 2017 standards. Our mission is to ensure cannabis-based medicines do not contain unhealthy levels of contaminants, as defined by Nevada State guidelines. Every product sample we receive is visually inspected for foreign matter and then tested for the presence of microbes, mycotoxins, heavy metals, pesticides, and residual solvents if used in the making of cannabis-based concentrates. We also analyze cannabis flowers for moisture levels to ensure that they were properly cured and edibles for water activity.
Intake technicians are also customer service reps because they interact on a daily basis with our customers. Must have a car and be licensed and insured in Nevada.
Job duties:
- Collect samples at various locations
- Do all appropriate paperwork for manifest and chain of custody
- Intake paperwork with LIMS
- Photograph
- Microscopy
- Homogenize samples
- Moisture analysis
- Sample Prep
- Sample Destruction
- Any many other duties
- Must have car and Nevada insurance
- Must be able to lift a 50 lb case
Need someone honest and trustworthy. Looking for someone who wants to start at an entry level position in a very busy lab. Our Operations Manager started as an intake technician and is now running the intake department (among other things). If you are looking to break into the cannabis lab space and are organized and have an eye for detail, we are looking for you!

Full Job Description
Lead Microbiologist Testing:
At least 2 years experience in:
- Pathogen detection using cultural, ELISA, real-time PCR methods
- Bacterial enumeration using 3M Petrifilm and other methods
- Prepare broths and plates for microbiology testing
- Assign a unique ID to each sample, data interpretation of each sample, and monitor the completion of tests as necessary. Great attention to detail.
- Review, sign off, and transfer all data to LIMS system for Certificate of Analysis preparation
- Prepare test aliquots, solutions and reagents for sample analyses
- Ensure proper upkeep of laboratory notebooks and/or logbooks.
- Monitor and maintain the operational readiness of standard laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Assist with disposal of lab-generated waste, calibrate scales daily for all analyst
- Monitor temperature throughout the lab and lab equipment daily using Blue Line temperature monitoring system
Lead Tasks:
- Prepare validation protocols, validation reports and perform validation experiments approved by the Nevada’s Cannabis Compliance Board and accreditation institutions. Perform measurement uncertainty studies, validations, verifications, and qualifications for all methods and materials as needed
- Comply and maintain to ISO-17025 accreditation, BSL compliance, adhere to Nevada’s Cannabis Compliance Board and accreditation institutions, document all nonconformance paperwork and Corrective and Preventive Action within Microbiology department
- Assist with Research and Development projects, consistently upkeep retest pathways, out of specification and proficiency testing mandated by theNevada’s Cannabis Compliance Board and accreditation institutions,
- Review and author applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Demonstration of Competency (DOC) forms, and operator aides
- Provide training to other analysts and to manufacturing personnel
- Oversee schedules, incubation times, and samples are tested in accordance with turn around time.
