Human Resource Manager
We are a cannabis edible manufacturer based in Portland Oregon with operations through-out the country. As the Human Resource Manager, you will be responsible to Plan, develop, implement, and administer the human resources function in accordance with the objectives of the company’s locations in throughout the country. Develop, implement, and manage all policies and processes to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local guidelines. Direct human resources functions including hiring, new employee orientation, job descriptions, annual evaluations with department head, employee relations, policies and procedures, employee handbook, workers compensation administration, wage and salary administration, work with accounting on payroll, benefits administration and employee assistance. Direct and works collaboratively with all managers who require assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving human relations and work performance issues.
Human Resource Manager Essential duties:
- Works collaboratively with the Senior Management Team and Department Heads to drive results for all Human Resources efforts
- Manage and assist in recruitment and hiring process
- Ensures the company’s compliance with Federal and State Department of Labor laws
- Provides coaching and counseling to Department Heads and employees in order to enhance individual contributions to the organization
- Directs annual evaluation process ensuring Department Heads accurately complete and submit performance appraisals
- Monitors and addresses employee morale, personnel issues, disciplinary actions, employee complaints and investigations
- Directs all aspects of Benefits Administration
- Administers FMLA
- Ensures all personnel files are maintained and accurate in compliance with Federal, State and Local guidelines
- Ensure pre-employment policy and procedures are maintained
- Works with accounting on Payroll and Payroll Reporting
- Ensures proper new hire onboarding
- Ensures proper response to unemployment inquiries and appeals by the Department of Labor
- Handles safety and Worker’s Compensation
- Updates Employee Handbook for Oregon, Arizona, and Oklahoma as necessary with new legislation
- Writes and communicates all HR Policies
- Files all legally required reports with US Department of Labor, EEOC, OSHA and IRS
- Provide Senior Management Team and Department Heads strategies to boost company morale
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resources or Related Field
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in Human Resources field/3 years in an HR Management role
- Through knowledge core HR functions; Employment Labor Laws, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Benefits Administration, Payroll, Health & Safety
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to become proficient in administering, using, and reporting in various HRIS/Payroll systems with accounting supervision
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
