Position Description
To supervise and manage the daily packaging operations of Dalwhinnie Farms LLC’s recreational marijuana cultivation facility, including but not limited to: material preparation, QC practices, packaging processes, inventory management, scheduling, and regulatory compliance. Dalwhinnie Farms LLC follows and implements a conscientious healthcare management model, striving to operate under the highest standards of customer care and professionalism.
Skills and Qualifications
The Packaging Lead needs to be a self-starting individual, a manager of people and plants, focused and results driven, a solutions-oriented problem solver, and always considering our end user; the customer. In addition, the ideal Packaging Manager will be a critical thinker, detail oriented regarding notes and numbers, and a strategic planner that excels in verbal communication as well as management techniques. Furthermore, Dalwhinnie Farms LLC requires the Packaging Lead to possess a high level of knowledge of the cannabis industry, the ability to closely track harvest data, and understand employee process involvement. A Packaging Lead is responsible for lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, as well as relying on the full extension of the legs and arms to reach items and fulfill many duties.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Satisfies and completes operational packaging requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, and then following up on work results. Furthermore, the Packaging Lead will ensure staff is always busy laboring in the cultivation facility and/or working on other selected production/facility tasks. In addition, it is the responsibility of the Packaging Lead to coordinate and execute the packaging schedule outlined by the Production Manager.
- Works closely with the harvest and trim departments to package cannabis product on demand in accordance with the packaging schedule. In addition, the Packaging Lead will direct staff in accomplishing set production results, establishing priorities, monitoring task progress, revising employee schedules as needed, resolving problems, and reporting the results of the process flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintains packaging staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees on Dalwhinnie Farms LLC policies, procedures, and roles. Upholds packaging staff job results by educating, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. Furthermore, the Packaging Lead will plan, monitor, and appraise all packaging employees of their job results.
- Achieves packaging production objectives by preparing a weekly and/or monthly packaging outlook and then scheduling employees appropriately. Aside from schedule forecasting, the Packaging Lead will analyze product variances and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Identifies current and future packaging related requirements by communicating with the Production Manager to thoroughly understand product requirements and demands.
- Collects and reviews all packaging data and provides weekly updates of flower weights, trim weights, and popcorn weights by harvest batch to management.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, organizing, and analyzing packaging production performance records and data sets, specifically the seed-to-sale system as well as company Google documents. In addition, the Packaging Lead will be available for fielding questions and responding to requests from employees, supervisors, Production Manager, and the Executive Board.
- Ensures the optimal environmental conditions are always present within packaging environments. In addition, the Packaging Lead is responsible for monitoring product conditions frequently throughout the work day and forecasting issues before they happen to the Production Manager.
- Maintaining inventories of packaging supplies to include but not limited to gloves, isopropyl alcohol, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, packaging materials and any other personal protection or production equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks.
- Notifies their direct supervisor or management team of additional scheduling needs in advance of packaging jobs starting, employee vacations, illnesses, and all other areas relating to packaging staffing.
- Reports to their direct supervisor or management team if potential bottlenecks in packaging and/or forecasting begin to arise.
- Facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary including dry/cure rooms, office phone, utilities, technology, maintenance, repairs, stock, and supplies.
- Executes a compliant laboratory test sampling process and coordinates with the Fulfillment Lead and Production Manager to follow necessary lab testing schedule and processes.
- Ensures the stability and reputation of the cultivation facility by complying with legal requirements at the local city and state levels to include engaging software applications to uphold compliance.
- Assists state and local government regulators, auditors, and law enforcement agents with inspection visits and information requests.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Creates and revises systems and processes by analyzing packaging operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, personnel requirements, as well as executes policy changes as directed by the Dalwhinnie Farms LLC General Manager, Production Manager, and Executive Board.
- Administers required production tracking software programs and is responsible for the accuracy of inventory, compliance reports and all other aspects of the software system and production department.

- Individuals applying must be a minimum twenty-one (21) years old
- Applicants must be a Colorado resident
- Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license
- B.A or B.S. in accounting or business a plus but not required
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the cannabis industry working with harvesting, curing, trimming, packaging, etc.
- 1-2 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, production, packaging, and personnel management is a plus
- An extensive background check that may include personal financial history along with a pre-employment drug test.
- Any moral character requirements as specified by Dalwhinnie Farms LLC and that are in accordance with the Colorado medical and recreational cannabis programs
- Some situations demand that work is completed on weekends and holidays depending on legal requirements, circumstance, and severity of outcome.

Skills and Qualifications
The Fulfillment Lead needs to be a step-by-step focused professional, a supervisor of people and products, possess intermediate to expert level computer skills, excel in attention to detail regarding metrics and documentation, and always considering the company’s end user. In addition, the ideal Fulfillment Lead will be solutions oriented, motivated by a dynamic workload, and excels in written communication. Furthermore, Dalwhinnie Farms expects the Fulfillment Lead to possess a high level of cannabis industry and market knowledge, the ability to closely track budget expenses and maintain high quality vendor relationships where needed.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Satisfies and completes inventory operational requirements by effectively scheduling and completing job tasks to achieve Dalwhinnie Farms’ established and desired work results. Furthermore, the Fulfillment Lead will ensure he/she is always busy managing supply chain logistics and/or working on other selected inventory tasks.
- Closely supervises and manages the order fulfillment process through email, phone, inventory control and METRC database platforms to include order entry, manifest administration, and shipping. Specifically this includes effectively communicating with the President and applicable Senior Leadership to set product pick-up appointments and coordinate the reporting of laboratory test results.
- Follows and completes the production and sales plan by overseeing the order tracking process and ensuring orders are fulfilled in accordance with Dalwhinnie Farms’ customer service standards. In addition the Fulfillment Lead will consistently communicate with staff and vendors to discuss production results, establish priorities, monitor potential bottlenecks, resolve problems, and report the outcomes of the process flow on summary charts and worksheets.
- Maintains packaging and labeling requirements by ordering and monitoring day-to-day supplies such as product bags, label paper, and operational tools. This includes overall budget planning and initiating and monitoring supply procurement orders until delivery.
- Correctly packages and executes wholesale product transactions when inventory levels across the board are adequate. Furthermore, the Fulfillment Lead will arrange the product transfer, package the product with laboratory tests, invoice(s), manifest(s), and any new business licenses.
- Provides input to strategic decisions that impact the functional areas of cultivation, post-production processing, and inventory storage. The Fulfillment Lead needs to be capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and correctly coordinate solutions across departments and managerial levels.
- Maintains accurate and orderly inventory of all products to include flower, trim, popcorn, preroll packages, dry sift, and any other SKUs that come available to sell. Fulfillment Lead is to keep package data cycled by most recent batch, date, and type. Monitors inventory of all product and provides daily updates to the Production Manager.
- Collects and reviews all inventory, sales, and production data and regularly updates internal business databases such as Google Drive, METRC, and applicable third party computer applications. Products that fall under this seed-to-sale tracking database management include whole cannabis plants in cultivation, harvested cannabis flower in dry/cure, pre roll material, manicured trim, and residual kief.
- Maintain and foster strong relationships with third party vendors (both buyers and suppliers) to ensure a high level of service and timely delivery. The Fulfillment Lead will work with product buyers and service vendors to provide detailed information on outstanding order status to include scheduling, production, transportation, and distribution.
- Provides inventory and order fulfillment information by compiling, initiating, organizing, and reviewing production performance records and data sets, specifically the METRC seed-to-sale tracking system, invoices and receipts booked appropriately, as well as all company Google Drive documents. In addition, the Fulfillment Lead will be available for fielding questions and responding to requests from the President and Senior Leadership.
- Secures and accounts for all cannabis product(s) by implementing and abiding by Dalwhinnie Farms security systems and safety measures. In addition, the Fulfillment Lead will protect employees by providing a safe and clean workplace environment and ensure the stability and reputation of the cultivation facility by complying with all legal requirements at the local city and state levels to include engaging in applicable software applications to uphold compliance.
- Upholds inventory standards, production operations, and the customer service experience by working in a collaborative manner, coordinating processes, and enforcing Dalwhinnie Farms’ program, procedural, and personnel policies and expectations regarding product availability and quality. In addition, this specifically includes assisting the Dalwhinnie Farms’ production staff in trim operations, participating in the harvest process when necessary, and any other garden tasks associated with production maintenance.
- Creates and revises systems and processes by analyzing production practices, record keeping systems, forms of authorization, product workflow, as well as executes policy changes as directed by the President and Senior Leadership.
- Present and communicate departmental projects, order volume, and product escalations/shortfalls to staff during daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings and conference calls. Additionally, the Fulfillment Lead will establish and implement training procedures for daily and specialized processes regarding product storage, packaging, manifesting, and delivery.
- Administers required cultivation tracking software programs and is responsible for accuracy of plant/strain count, compliance reports, and all other aspects of the software programs.
