Head of Production / Manufacturing:
We are looking for a can-do-all manager with experience in production and product packaging. Previous USDA / FDA experience a plus! The right candidate will help oversee cannabis-related processing, manufacturing, packaging, product drying, curing, trimming, and preparing for sale and shipment. The ideal candidate will also have experience in volume production management, process development and quality control, and strong people and supervisory skills.
Key responsibilities:
· Manage all steps in the process including intake, drying, curing, and trimming
- Oversee production by creating and reviewing production schedule; study and clarify specifications; calculate requirements; assemble and accurately weigh materials and supplies
- QA/QC duties that require analytical testing for quality and consistency; data review
- Operate highly sophisticated equipment; process concentrates
- Clean and maintain equipment and laboratory facility following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; comply with legal regulations; monitor environment
- Operate, maintain, and make adjustments and repairs to laboratory equipment such as liquid chromatography systems, pumps, microscopes, balances, centrifuges, and other laboratory equipment
- Maintain inventory records of supplies, materials, and equipment
- Maintain and stock supplies and equipment, dispose of waste according to guidelines, and keep laboratory, storerooms and working areas immaculate
· Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware
· Fulfills orders from order intake and Metrc to accurate delivery
· Ensure the safe, accurate, and timely production of product packaging
· Ensure cleanliness, safety and efficiency of the production area
· Maintain quality control measures to ensure a high-quality product
· Understands the proper and safe handling of hazardous materials
· Develop SOPs to ensure safety, quality, and consistent processes
· Prepare inventory reports to ensure products are available and accurately accounted for
· Maintain packaging inventory to ensure a seamless production schedule
· Ensure accurate weighing and inventory; all products are packaged, counted, sorted, and labeled accurately
· Ensure the packaging and processing staff has daily tasks, schedules, and is being efficiently deployed
· Collaborate with the Cultivation Team to schedule harvest personnel and drying schedules
· Skill in managing physical resources (budgeting, inventories, equipment, materials)
· Develop processes for new products, strains, styles, and types of cannabis
· Make quality control decisions and adjustments as necessary
- Maintain material safety data sheets for all department chemicals and products
· Understand and maintain compliance with all CCC rules and regulations and testing requirements
- Ensure processing operation is fully compliant with state regulations and federal and state law
- Assure that operation adheres to all business and industry license requirements
- Maintain strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory and documents production by completing forms, reports, logs and records
- Evaluate processes, improve efficiencies, and drive up hourly rates
Job skills & qualifications:
· 2+ year of working in a commercial cannabis production environment (preferred but not required)
· Strong understanding of cannabis handling including drying, curing, and trimming. (preferred but not required)
- Able to process samples by collection, preparing for analysis, and quantifying results
- Familiar use of a wide range of pipettes and knowing their volume capabilities
- Health and safety practices and precautions applicable to a manufacturing environment
- Proper and safe handling and disposal of chemicals, substances, and hazardous wastes
· Capabilities with computer systems, software, and hardware common to laboratoriesrecord-keeping procedures
· Self-motivation, innovation, and the ability to work well with all members of the company
· Minimum 4+ year of management experience with a crew of 15+ team members
· Strong people and supervisory skills including mentoring, coaching, performance, motivating and directing staff
· Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and maintain positive relationships with all levels of management
· Excellent time-management skills; ability to effectively plan and prioritize
· Demonstrate excellent organizational capabilities
· Attention to detail
· Knowledge of computer and programs (seed to sale, inventory systems; MS Office Suite programs)
· Must pass state mandated background check
Education:
- BS/BA Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering (mechanical/Systems) OR Chemical Engineering
- MS Dynamics ERP systems knowledge or similar
- 3-5 yrs. experience managing production operations

Head of Cultivation
Responsible for strategically and technically managing all aspects of cultivation operations including site designs, set-up, and execution As a top-level cultivator, your primary role in the company is to oversee all levels of cultivation. This includes, but is not limited to, irrigation, propagation, transplant, vegetative and flowering stages, IPM, harvest, and dying/curing of the product. In doing so, it is expected that incumbent always strives to produce quality product and high yields.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and write cultivation SOPs ensuring compliance with State regulations and company policies.
- Design Cultivation facilities and coordinate with construction team to ensure project completion.
- Evaluate new technologies and techniques and implement them at cultivation facilities.
- Develop and set grow facility environmental parameters and program/monitor control software.
- Hire team and train on all aspects of Cultivation.
- Develop production schedules, work schedules and duties for cultivation staff.
- Monitor production results regularly with Operations Managers driving team accountability for adherence to standards and product yield and quality, and responsible for addressing any deviation approve crop-inputs and supplies for the Grow Areas.
- Develop custom fertilizer recipes to optimize yield, plant health and potency.
- Set and implement integrated pest management strategies in compliance with state and company policy.
- Develop proper sanitation protocols of the Growing Area.
- Identify plant varieties to fit facility and market needs.
- Set propagation, germination and planting schedules for all crops and varieties.
- Coordinate clerical, record keeping, inventory and financial data.
- Explain and enforce safety regulations and policies.
- Management – Manage crew leads (Harvest, Transplant, Irrigation, etc.) Ensure all departments are upholding the standards and quality. Schedule work ahead of time to minimize downtime and keep crews working.
- Irrigation- Ensure that flowering and vegetative plants are adequately watered and fed based on our fertility program. Work with the irrigation department manager to direct employees to irrigate, as necessary. Run irrigation system manually, with a timer, or instruct another cultivator/ irrigator to do so.
Job skills & qualifications:
- At least 10 years experienced with leadership of a large-scale commercial growing operation in a regulated cannabis program or horticulture operation with similar photoperiod plants
- Master’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Sciences, or Horticulture strongly desired; bachelor’s degree in related field required
- In depth knowledge of State Cannabis Laws and Regulations.
- Demonstrated experience with METRC
- Leadership skills building teams in a highly collaborative environment
- Experience in developing advanced/custom fertilizer recipes strongly desired
- Experience in integrated pest management (IPM)
- Strong process management skills
- Skilled in working with technical experts
- Skilled in use of ERP, Excel and Database systems
- Skilled in use of horticulture automation systems - Argus, Hortimax or Priva or equivalent
- Must be a strong leader with acute business sense
- Experience with various grow mediums and irrigation methods
- Experience with mycology with fungi
- Experienced team leader with a positive attitude and vision for the future

Education:
· Master’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Sciences, or Horticulture strongly desired. Bachelor’s degree in related field required
· Certified pesticide applicator license or experience preferred

The successful candidate will drive the company's achievement of customer acquisition and will lead the success in revenue goals, acting as a role model for company culture and an ambassador for recruiting talent. This position will be responsible for both the tactical and strategic leadership of the sales organization, working closely with the Executive Team on the business to plan and executing strategy.
We are seeking an experienced individual with a minimum of 3 years cannabis sales experience and 2 year cannabis sales manager experience to assist us to increase sales and address customer needs within the state of California and beyond. Territory Sales Manager responsibilities include overseeing our delivery couriers, placing our products on the shelves of cannabis dispensaries through the state, negotiating procurement from cannabis farms and manufacturers and identifying specific consumer characteristics and recommending ways to promote and sell our products. To be successful in this role, at minimum, you should posses an existing book of business throughout California and have excellent communication abilities and be highly motivated to meet sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Experience creating and operating a CRM sales pipeline management system overseeing multiple sales representatives.
- Recent cannabis sales management experience, having successfully built, hired and led a geographically diverse team of early career and experienced professionals
- Must have experience with securing product placement in retail settings, as well as white label and contract manufacturing opportunities.
- Recent experience operating in an early stage company, with a demonstrated ability to wear multiple hats, respond to evolving demands and react to a constantly changing marketplace.
- Repetitive communication, verbal/electronic, with existing clientele base and identify new business clientele.
- 7-10+ years in sales and 3-5+ years in sales management role.
- A strong motivator and leader and ability to create a team that lives the company’s values.
- Financial literacy at a level adequate to speak to the business needs of the industry.
