CURRNT Cannabis is a brand-new Medical Cannabis dispensary in Fairfield, California and we are looking for a full-time Medical Cannabis Dispensary Manager.

Job Description:
The Medical Cannabis Dispensary Manager supervises the daily operations of CURRNT Cannabis. CURRNT Cannabis operates in a highly regulated environment. CURRNT Cannabis's operations are monitored by state regulators, banking authorities, and the federal government. The role of the Medical Cannabis Dispensary Manager must therefore be performed with the utmost attention to professionalism, and strict adherence to regulatory compliance.
The Medical Cannabis Dispensary Manager directs all CURRNT Cannabis activities to optimize the customer experience, improve the efficiency of operations, and maintain an environment of unsurpassed retail excellence. The Medical Cannabis Dispensary Manager must also build and maintain meaningful relationships with business partners and industry stakeholders to enhance CURRNT Cannabis's regional and national presence. Additionally, the Medical Cannabis Dispensary Manager is responsible for managing the budget of the collective, setting aggressive goals to achieve business objectives, and measuring outcomes to drive performance improvement.
Job Requirements:
- Must be friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, dependable, and hardworking.
- Ensuring all dispensary operational requirements of the collective are met by scheduling/assigning employees and following up on work results.
- Maintaining adequate dispensary staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Reconciling end of day/month reports.
- Maintaining dispensary staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintaining employee passion and enthusiasm for CURRNT Cannabis and its customers.
- Achieving financial objectives by preparing a monthly budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Identifying current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand product/service requirements.
- Maintain all confidential information according to HIPAA policies and procedures
- Ensuring availability of merchandise and services.
- Formulating pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.
- Suggesting marketing strategy changes based on experiences with customers, vendors, and sales staff.
- Marketing merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for sales velocities and profitability ratios.
- Securing merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
- Implementing compliant cash handing procedures.
- Protecting employees and customers by providing a safe and clean environment.
- Maintaining all aspects of dispensary operation in strict compliance with Department of Public Health, municipal, and state legal regulations and requirements.
- Ensuring that company management is advised on all pertinent operations.
- Overseeing dispensary maintenance including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, repairs, front entry cleanliness, and technology fixes as needed.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and industry events; reviewing medical cannabis publications; establishing personal networks within the industry.
- Initiating and maintaining positive relationships with abutting businesses and neighborhood groups and associations.
- Liaise with local community, area health providers and manages patient outreach and educational programming
Requirements:
- Qualifications: 21 years of age or older, no felony drug convictions, have reliable transportation.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years retail sales management experience of 20+ individuals. Experience managing in a regulated industry preferred.
- Experience in healthcare or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
- Computer: This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as iPads/computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
- Required fluency in MS Office application suite, with emphasis on Word and Excel. Must be willing to learn accounting, POS, tracking and inventory control applications. METRC and COVA POS system experience a major plus!
- Physical Activity: Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of the collective. May include sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Work hours are anytime between Monday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Previous Retail/Sales and/or Healthcare Management experience.
- Knowledge of marijuana strains, (indicas, sativas, hybrids), edibles, extracts, topicals, tinctures, vapes, and current products on the market is a huge plus.
- Dispensary-related experience a plus.
- METRC knowledge a plus
- COVA POS system experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
