Buddha Company is seeking Budtenders! We are a fast-growing, licensed cannabis cultivator, manufacturer, distributor, and retailer with two retail locations in Downtown Los Angeles. We are seeking Sales Associates with great customer service skills and proven sales ability. Cannabis experience preferred but not required. Open availability required. Responsibilities:
- Greet and establish rapport with customers. Get to know them and seek to understand their interest in cannabis medicine
- Assist patients in identifying the medicines and methods of medication that best fit their individual needs
- Adhere to strict distribution processes and maintain a professional and safe environment for customers and coworkers
- Gather and process required patient documents and information, and perform detailed verification while maintaining client confidentiality
- Continue to enhance your knowledge of medical cannabis, and continually hone your ability to explain and recommend treatment procedures and product uses
- Unpack, sort, count and label merchandise as directed, including items requiring special handling or refrigeration
- Maintain the professional appearance of the shop by restocking merchandise on the sales floor and participating in basic store clean-up
- Perform clerical tasks including accurate filing, compiling, and maintaining inventory and records
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of retail sales experience as a Sales Associate or similar (required)
- At least 1 year of cannabis industry experience (preferred)
- Exceptional sales and customer service skills
- Knowledge of cannabis, including basic knowledge of cannabinoids, terpenes, extraction methods, medical uses, weights, popular cannabis products, etc.
- Cash handling experience
- Presentable and professional appearance
- Honesty, punctuality, reliability, friendliness, and strong work ethic
- Ability to work well in a team
- Reliable transportation
- Open availability required, including ability to work weekends and holidays
- Must be 21+

The ideal candidate will possess strong management experience and cannabis cultivation experience. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a licensed, compliant cannabis facility.
Responsibilities
- Oversee cannabis crops from planting to harvesting
- Lead a team of cultivators
- Ensure facilities are clean and pest free
- Develop cultivation plans and assign duties
- Organize and document the process of transplanting, cloning, defoliation, and trimming of plants
- Ensure that growth requirements of cannabis plants are consistently met (lighting, soil PH, nutrients, etc.)
- Lead maintenance operations (including disposing waste and preventing contaminations)
- Diagnose and resolve plant health issues
- Ensure the compliance of all cultivation procedures
- Manage inventory and budgets
Requirements
- 2+ years of management experience
- 2+ years of professional cannabis cultivation experience
- Proven ability to lead a team
- 2 professional references, each from a current or previous manager or supervisor
- Metrc experience (preferred)
- Must have a car and the ability to commute to and from our facilities in Downtown Los Angeles, The Arts District, and Gardena

Buddha Company is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee our daily retail operations. We are a licensed cannabis retailer, cultivator, manufacturer and distributor with two retail locations in Downtown Los Angeles.
The Retail Manager is responsible for driving our retail business to achieve established goals through hands-on leadership and contributions. You will be responsible for overseeing various operational aspects of the business, including, but not limited to, processes that enhance the customer experience, retail operations, inventory control procedures, and tracking and driving KPIs and sales goals. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are a must.The ideal candidate will be a skilled and experienced manager with the proven ability to lead a team. Cannabis industry experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day to day operations of the retail department and team
- Create, implement, and manage restock processes
- Manage inventory
- Contribute to and help define processes and best practices for existing and future growth
- Oversee daily sales and KPI tracking and reporting
- Proactively meet sales goals and other KPIs and hold the team accountable to drive positive results
- Collaborate cross-functionally with management to drive strategy and achieve goals
- Operate as an effective leader at all times
- Organize store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel
- Maintain BCC compliance
- Provide staff training and development
Requirements:
- 2+ years of leadership and people management experience.
- 2+ years experience as a Retail Manager or similar.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Cannabis industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be reliable and dependable with a good work ethic.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to adapt to a changing work environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
