Job Description:
The Dispensary Manager supervises the daily operations of AbideDispensary. Abide operates in a highly-regulated environment. Abide’s operations are monitored by state regulators, banking authorities, and the federal government. The role of Dispensary Manager must therefore be performed with the utmost attention to professionalism, and strict adherence to regulatory compliance.
The Dispensary Manager directs all Abide activities to optimize the customer experience, improve the efficiency of operations, and maintain an environment of unsurpassed retail excellence. The Dispensary Manager must also build and maintain meaningful relationships with business partners and industry stakeholders to enhance Abide’s regional and national presence. We are specifically looking for a Dispensary Manager with experience managing budgeting and financials, marketing, and HR. This role requires setting aggressive goals to achieve business objectives, and measuring outcomes to drive performance improvement.
Job Requirements:
* Must be friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, dependable, and hardworking.
* Ensuring all dispensary operational requirements of the collective are met by scheduling/assigning employees and following up on work results.
* Maintaining adequate dispensary staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
* Reconciling end of day/month reports.
* Maintaining dispensary staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
* Maintaining employee passion and enthusiasm for Abide and its customers.
* Achieving financial objectives by preparing a monthly budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
* Identifying current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand product/service requirements.
* Ensuring availability of merchandise and services.
* Formulating pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.
* Suggesting marketing strategy changes based on experiences with customers, vendors and sales staff.
* Marketing merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for sales velocities and profitability ratios.
* Securing merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
* Implementing compliant cash handing procedures.
* Protecting employees and customers by providing a safe and clean environment.
* Maintaining all aspects of dispensary operation in strict compliance with Department of Public Health, municipal, and state legal regulations and requirements.
* Ensuring that Company management is advised on all pertinent operations.
* Overseeing dispensary maintenance including but not limited to: HVAC, plumbing, repairs, front entry cleanliness, and technology fixes as needed.
* Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and industry events; reviewing medical cannabis publications; establishing personal networks within the industry.
* Initiating and maintaining positive relationships with abutting businesses and neighborhood groups and associations.
Requirements:
· Qualifications: 21 years of age or older, no felony drug convictions, have reliable transportation.
· Experience: Minimum 3 years retail sales management experience of 20+ individuals. Experience managing in a regulated industry preferred.
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
· Computer: This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as iPads/computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Required fluency in MS Office application suite, with emphasis on Word and Excel. Must be willing to learn accounting, POS, tracking and inventory control applications.
· Physical Activity: Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of the collective. May include: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, carrying boxes, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time salaried position. Work hours are anytime between Monday through Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Previous Retail/Sales experience.
- Knowledge of marijuana strains, (indicas, sativas, hybrids), edibles, extracts, topicals, tinctures, vapes, and current products on the market is a huge plus.
- Dispensary-related experience a plus.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
This position does not approve visa requirements, H1-B sponsorship, special clearances, etc. Submittal and clearance of drug and background screening to meet Company Policy expectation.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, strong communication skills, a solid foundation of sales and customer service techniques, and the ability to coach, motivate, and lead a team.
Responsibilities include:

Job Description:
Abide Budtenders are responsible for performing sales and service functions for new and existing patients of the collective. This includes extensive product knowledge and understanding of cannabis science. You do not need to be a cannabis expert--we will train you! Empathy, compassion, customer service skills, and a willingness to learn are essential.
Essential Functions

- Gather and process required patient documents and information, and perform detailed verification while maintaining client confidentiality.
- Greet and establish rapport with customers-- get to know them and seek to understand their interest in cannabis.

- Adhere to strict distribution processes and maintain a professional and safe environment for customers and coworkers.

- Unpack, sort, count and label merchandise as directed, including items requiring special handling or refrigeration.
- Maintain cleanliness of station and facility.
- Maintain the professional appearance of the collective by organizing merchandise on the sales floor, participating in basic store clean-up and developing efficiencies.
- Perform clerical tasks including accurate filing, compiling, and maintaining inventory and records.
