About This Role
Leading candidates will be required to demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in the traditional agriculture, horticulture and cannabis industries as it relates to highly regulated and compliant production operations specific to indoor, living soil based methodologies while maintaining a perpetual harvest schedule of a variety of successful cultivars that are able to pass rigorous testing requirements.
This position also requires exceptional organizational, management and analytical skills as well as the ability to effectively train and communicate with all staff and work directly with Ownership to maximize supply and minimize costs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain strong understanding of various software reporting and performance tracking including:
- Internal POS Systems
- METRC Seed-to-Sale Tracking
- TRYM Management Software
- Responsible for maintaining and updating all cultivation related SOPs including the processes for cloning, vegetative, flowering and harvesting processes.
- Directly supervise all cultivation activities and maintain plant health while delivering consistent, safe, high quality cannabis flower product.
- Update and maintain all aspects of TRYM Management Software to ensure daily tasks are properly assigned to and completed by all supporting cultivation team members and staff.
- Monitor light, water, and the various stages of development and growth while directly supervising all cultivation staff and their associated duties and responsibilities.
- Identify potential issues and/or pest outbreaks and instituting the proper Corrective Action Plan (CAP) as needed.
- Ensure cultivation staff maintains full compliance with all applicable protocols and procedures.
- Manage a staff of 2-4 people at any given time to ensure that all company policy and procedures are being followed in the facility.
- Work directly with Ownership to make informed decisions based on, budgets, yields and product demand.
- Assist the MED and other local authorities with any required or requested documents and/or inspections.
- Act as the facility’s Person-in-Charge in the event of any emergency or critical situation.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a commercial grow facility
- Ability to acquire Colorado State MED Badge

The position will be responsible for performing all the tasks in the growing process including the selection and development of genetic strains and seeds, cloning, potting and transplanting, designing and maintaining nutrient recipes, feeding plants, defoliation, topping, flushing, foliar and preventative sprays, trimming, harvesting, waste disposal and inventory management.

Duties and responsibilities
- Oversee cannabis crops
- Develop cultivation plans and assign duties
- Organize and document the daily process of transplanting, cloning, defoliation and trimming of plants
- Ensure the growth requirements of cannabis plants are consistently met (lighting, soil, Ph, nutrients, etc…
- Ensuring SOP's are established, approved and followed in daily processes
- Apply indoor farming methods that increase yields
- Lead maintenance operations (including disposing waste and preventing contamination)
- Diagnose and resolve plant health issues like mold, mildew or other infestations
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail to achieve consistently high quality and yield
- Work directly Cultivation Inventory manager and Sales Team to ensure the quantity, mix and yield of strains planted and produced will support sales goals and market needs.
- Provide daily updates to the Cultivation Inventory Manager on status of harvest and dry rooms
- Ensure legal compliance of cultivation procedures are enforced
- Manage inventory and budgets related to marijuana farming (including equipment, security and HVAC systems)
- Supervise and coach employees who tend to the plants (e.g. cannabis trimmers)
- Inspect quality of harvest
- Utilization of cultivation software and Metrc to track plant development, growing stages, nutrient utilization, harvest yields, and maintaining compliance in Metrc for the CRA
- Maintain CRA Laws and Regulation expectation including Security Protocol
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent GED (General Education Diploma)
- Degree in Botany, Biology, Agriculture, Horticulture or relevant field is a plus
- Proven experience as a grower (3-5 years), preferably at a large scale.
