Daily duties include ensuring that all product information is correct, cohesive, compliant, and ensuring the final product is aesthetically accurate to the visionary standards set forth by the company. Employees should possess good verbal and written communication skills, a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. They will need to have the ability to sit, squat, and kneel repetitively throughout a daily workday. Be able to lift 50lbs up a flight of stairs and be capable of performing manual labor tasks as required in a large-scale grow including going in a lift up tp 20 feet.

Position Description
To supervise and manage the daily harvesting and trimming operations as well as the employees within the Trim and Harvest departments of Dalwhinnie Farms LLC’s recreational marijuana cultivation facility, including: harvesting processes, trimming, trim/flower weight reporting, trim/flower packaging, inventory management, scheduling, and regulatory compliance. Dalwhinnie Farms LLC follows and implements a conscientious healthcare management model, striving to operate under the highest standards of customer care and professionalism.
Skills and Qualifications
The Trim/Harvest Lead needs to be self-starting individual, a manager of people and plants, focused and results driven, a solutions-oriented problem solver, and always considering our end user; the customer. In addition, the ideal Trim/Harvest Lead will be a critical thinker, detail oriented regarding notes and numbers, and a strategic planner that excels in verbal communication as well as management techniques. Furthermore, Dalwhinnie Farms LLC requires the Trim/Harvest Lead to possess a high level of cannabis industry and market knowledge, the ability to closely track production data, understand employee process involvement, the ability to closely track budget expenses, understand effective product pricing, and maintain high quality vendor relationships where needed. A Trim/Harvest Lead is responsible for lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, as well as relying on full extension of the legs and arms to reach items and fulfill many duties.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Satisfies and completes operational harvest and trim requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, and then following up on work results. Furthermore, the Trim/Harvest Lead will ensure staff is always busy laboring in the cultivation facility and/or working on other selected trimming tasks.
- Follows and completes harvest and trim plan by floating between necessary cultivation facility departments. In addition, the Trim/Harvest Lead will direct trim staff in accomplishing set production results, establishing priorities, monitoring task progress, revising employee schedules as needed, resolving problems, and reporting the results of the process flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintains harvest and trim staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees on Dalwhinnie Farms LLC policies, procedures, and roles. Upholds harvest and trim staff job results by educating, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. Furthermore, the Trim/Harvest Lead will plan, monitor, and appraise all harvest and trim employees of their job results.
- Achieves harvest and trim production objectives by preparing a weekly and/or monthly trim outlook and then scheduling employees appropriately. Aside from schedule forecasting, the Trim/Harvest Lead will analyze product variances and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Identifies current and future trim requirements by communicating with management to thoroughly understand product requirements and demands.
- Collects and reviews all harvest and trim data and provides weekly updates of trim volume, dry/wet weights, trash weights, and flower weights by room to management.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, organizing, and analyzing harvest and trim production performance records and data sets, specifically the seed-to-sale system as well as company Google documents. In addition, the Trim/Harvest Lead will be available for fielding questions and responding to requests from employees, supervisors, Production Manager, and the Executive board.
- Ensures the maximum availability of on hand daily inventory by effectively supervising harvest and trim duties to include workstation set-up and break down, maintaining adequate harvest and trim supplies, and daily employee schedules among other necessary operational harvest and trim requirements.
- Maintaining inventories of harvest and trim support supplies to include but not limited to gloves, isopropyl alcohol, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, and any other personal protection or production equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks.
- Notifies their direct supervisor or management team of additional scheduling needs in advance of harvest and/or trim jobs starting, employee vacations, illnesses, and all other areas relating to harvest and trim staffing.
- Reports to their direct supervisor or management team if potential bottlenecks or hazards in harvest and trim production and/or forecasting begin to arise.
- Secures and accounts for drying flower product by implementing and abiding by Dalwhinnie Farms LLC security systems and safety measures. In addition, the Trim/Harvest Lead will protect employees by providing a safe and clean workplace environment.
- Facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary including phone, utilities, technology, maintenance, repairs, stock and supplies.
- Ensures the stability and reputation of the cultivation facility by complying with legal requirements at the local city and state levels to include engaging software applications to uphold compliance.
- Assists state and local government regulators, auditors, and law enforcement agents with inspection visits and information requests.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Creates and revises systems and processes by analyzing harvest and trim operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, personnel requirements, as well as executes policy changes as directed by the Dalwhinnie Farms LLC Production Manager and Executive Board.
- Administers required cultivation tracking software programs and is responsible for accuracy of inventory, compliance reports and all other aspects of the software system.
Other Employment Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have no felony convictions
- Individuals applying must be a minimum twenty-one (21) years old
- Applicants must be a Colorado resident
- Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license
- Must be able to acquire MED Key Badge
- 1 Year of commercial cannabis experience
- B.S. or B.A. from an accredited university preferred but not required
- 1-2 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, production, packaging, and personnel management
- An extensive background check that may include personal financial history along with a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be of good moral character as defined by the Colorado recreational and medical cannabis program as having a criminal history that demonstrates honesty, fairness, and respect for the rights of others and for the law.
- Some situations demand that work be completed on weekends and holidays depending on legal requirements, circumstance and severity of outcome
