The Town of Brookline, a culturally diverse community of 60,000 surrounded on three sides by Boston, is accepting applications for a Cannabis Licensing and Mitigation Coordinator. This position performs complex professional and administrative work in managing the municipal cannabis licensing process including coordinating departmental enforcement, community outreach, data analytics, budget development and oversight. Establishes and maintains relationships and serves as a liaison to all public and private stakeholders. Acts as the Town’s principal point of contact for cannabis policy, education and enforcement. Attends Committee night meetings as needed. Supports Cannabis Mitigation Advisory Committee and the Select Board’s Licensing Review Committee, and all other work as required.
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, finance or related field and two years of experience in program administration, community outreach, licensing, data analytics and/or management; Master’s degree desirable; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid motor vehicle operator’s license. Thorough working knowledge of local, state and federal laws regulating cannabis policy and enforcement. Knowledge of legislative and regulatory process at all levels of government. Starting annualized salary of $68k plus a comprehensive benefits package. Resume and cover letter by August 21, 2020.
