As the company's second line of defense, Corporate Risk - or Independent Risk Management - provides independent oversight of risk-taking activities. Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk.
The Enhanced Due Diligence Center (EDDC), is within the FCRM organization. The EDDC group was formed to help meet the evolving due diligence needs of its Line of Business partners. This group is responsible for ensuring that Wells Fargo handles risk with high risk industries at the enterprise level, and that Wells Fargo is in compliance with all applicable BSA laws and regulations.
Enhanced Due Diligence Center (EDDC), within Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM), is looking for qualified candidates to join an exciting team focused on monitoring enhanced due diligence programs for Money Services Businesses, Third Party Payment Processors, High Risk Customers, Cannabis Related Businesses, and Casinos. This position will support process improvement and redesign, change management initiatives, communication, and ongoing oversight of EDDC's due diligence policies and procedure documentation.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in planning and executing a variety of programs, services, and initiatives, and monitor key indicators to ensure effective performance and control management of assigned operations or business groups
- Review basic initiatives including policy or process changes, process improvements, technology enhancements, and conduct regular reviews to identify efficiencies and cost savings opportunities
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgement while developing an understanding of policies and procedures, best practices, and initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with mid-level managers or cross-functional business partners
- Provide work direction to less experienced Strategy and Execution staff
Required Qualifications, US:
- 6+ months of Business Operations, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Required Qualifications, International:
- Experience in Business Operations, Implementation, or Strategic Planning, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of technical design: ECM system design, implementation, and support at an enterprise level
- Knowledge and understanding of banking: regulations, compliance, policies, process, and procedures
- 3+ years of stored procedures development experience
- Strong attention to detail, including accuracy in grammar and a sharp focus on eliminating errors
- 3+ years of experience with BSA/AML/OFAC laws and regulations
- Ability to evaluate risks and the impact of decisions on an overall organization
- A BA/BS degree or higher in business or finance
- Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department
- Change management experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
