About the role:
As an Associate Creative Director, you will be taking creative projects from brief to completion for our leading Cannabis Client. You're a leader who thrives in a fun fast-paced environment, can own your projects and are willing to execute them with perfection. You are highly motivated and willing to push great creative ideas. You are a digital channel expert, always looking to push the boundaries of what is possible.
You will be working closely with the Client and fellow creative team members to develop both conceptual ideas and print and digital content such as digital banners, social assets, POS, eCommerce, email, videos, photography and interactive content to name a few. You will be responsible for delivering best practice, on-brand and on brief designs and know when to push the envelope. You are a team player, can pivot on demand and takes pride in ensuring the integrity of campaigns. You enjoy sharing knowledge, experience, and will own brand guardianship across multiple brand categories.
What you will be doing:
- Conceive and create compelling visual design solutions that address strategic business and brand objectives across a range of digital media
- Lead both interagency and client teams with a clear, thoughtful design POV
- "Hands-on" ability to own the work, be responsible and accountable from concept through production
- Develop and deliver work that elevates and strengthens our clients' brand appeal and perception with consumers, demonstrated through a strong visual and typographical aesthetic
- Responsible for articulating and defending conceptual and directional choices with brand/marketing clients
- Collaborate with copywriters, producers, project managers, and other creative contributors, to achieve optimal finished product
- Contribute to a culture of continual creative improvement, innovation, and design excellence
- Develop and maintain solid, collaborative relationships with agency colleagues
- Create cohesive multichannel print & digital content that aligns with larger brand stories
- Establish and oversee creative processes to streamline creative work to scale for growth
- BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent relevant experience
- 7+ years of experience working in a client facing capacity, from handling client queries, to presenting strong ideas
- Experience in Retail Creative across print, digital, experiential, and environmental
- Experience working in highly regulated industry
- Extremely comfortable with quickly shifting/changing priorities
- Proven Agency or relevant experience with either; Health and Wellness, BPC, CPG
- Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite and across Microsoft Office, SharePoint and DAM platforms
- Apply expert typography and Photoshop techniques
- Experience working in Adobe Acrobat for review and markups
- Sound knowledge of digital standards and industry best practices
- Proactive, flexible, and independent, able to effectively time manage projects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to provide solution-oriented ideas

JOB SUMMARY
Cresco Labs is looking for an Associate Creative Director to join its in-house creative team (The HotBox) to support the management of creative and photo/video production projects from concept creation to execution. The ACD is responsible for developing and transforming concepts into creative solutions, supporting the management of the creative team, and ensuring project objectives are achieved. This role requires the ability to develop creative concepts and strategies that are insightful, relevant, innovative, and effective while motivating and directing the team in the design and execution of best-in-class solutions across multiple platforms. The Associate Creative Director will report to the Creative Director of The HotBox.

- Supporting the Creative Director with the development of concepts, strategies, and project presentations.
- Supporting the management and supervising of multiple projects and teams.
- Ensuring proper teams and resources are allocated according to project needs.
- Managing the art direction and copywriting creative materials and reviewing design materials.
- Ensuring brand identity and message consistency across channels.
- Meeting brand and project objectives, values, budgets, and deadlines.
- Leading and participating in brainstorming sessions.
- Keeping up with the latest trends, strategies, and industry techniques.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Degree in marketing, graphic design, art direction or related field.
- 5+ years of creative agency or in-house experience.
- Experience working closely with local and remote teams (brand, creative, content and production agencies, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of marketing, brand, and design principles and development.
- Experience in both B2B and B2C marketing.
- Experience leading and managing creative teams.
- Strong concept and strategy development skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong creative and strategic mind.
- Comfortable with a 'start-up' environment to support to growth of the in-house team.
