Insa is a vertically integrated cannabis company located on the east coast, operating in multiple states with a headquarters in Chicopee, MA. We have our own cultivation facilities, kitchens, labs and retail locations.
The Associate Brand Manager will report to and work closely with the Brand Manager to develop and implement product strategies that drive growth for Insa and our customers. This role will focus on innovation areas like innovation funnel development, project management, consumer/market research, and forecasting. To accomplish this, the Associate Brand Manager will need to leverage resources like POS data, shopper and consumer insights, and category and industry trend reports to help inform business decisions. The Associate Brand Manager will be a key team player, working cross-functionally with Marketing, R&D, Wholesale, Finance, Graphics, Supply Chain and Retail.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Brand Manager in building business cases that outline the opportunity, scope, risks, and financial performance for new product development projects.
- Leverage resources like syndicated data, shopper and consumer insights, and category and industry trends to help inform product related decisions.
- Communicates actionable unbiased recommendations on how to move the business forward by delivering potential solutions from market data and consumer research
- Partner with Marketing & Production teams to translate concepted ideas into product development plans and timelines.
- Develop and present project & packaging briefs to senior leadership as part of the product development process.
- Lead the internal product testing process, including coordinating sample development, sample distribution, survey development, deployment, and analysis.
- Proactively collaborates with the Creative team to develop product copy toolkits, digital & print assets for new products to support launch activities.
- Conducts analyses of business results/trends and recommends appropriate course of action.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Four-year college degree required
- 1-3 years of marketing, brand management experience, traditional CPG marketing experience preferred
- Proven ability to conduct in-depth market research and uncover consumer insights that help inform actionable recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills, proficient in other Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working cross-functionally
- Strong communication skills, written and oral
- Up to 10% travel potential
