Position Description
HR Responsibilities and Duties:
o Receiving all deliveries that arrive after standard 9-5 business hours
o Cash handling and payment preparation for purchases coordinated with Purchasing Specialist
o Coordination with Lead Budtenders and Store Manager to address store needs and requests from sales team
o Contribute to creation of training curriculum for all sales floor positions within the retail, regarding such things as:
o Overall cannabis knowledge
o Standard Operating Procedures of all job functions and tasks
o Technical troubleshooting of all digital platforms and hardware
o Sales techniques and strategies
o Responsible for performing and tracking continual hands-on training with Lead Budtenders regarding inventory performance, MetrC protocols, and label-making, and daily task protocols.
o Responsible for performing and tracking continual hands-on training with Budtenders regarding upselling protocols, promos and sales goals, overall cannabis knowledge, industry news, and daily task protocols.
o Coordinate with Store Manager to review sales data that drives strategic seasonal marketing schedules.
o Contribute to staff evaluations and reviews every quarter, and perform 1-on-1 staff resolution meetings as necessary.
Marketing Responsibilities and Duties:
o Responsible for creation and implementation of all in-house marketing materials for sales and promotions according to marketing schedule developed with Store Manager and Purchasing Specialist
o Perform updates to the following marketing outlets:
o Weedmaps (daily)
o Dutchie (daily)
o Divvy Tv Menu (weekly)
o An unspecified text-based CRM platform (daily)
o Responsible for content development, deployment and publishing as well as organizing, cataloging, and centralizing content in digital asset management system.
o Develop banner ads, in-store signage, swag/giveaways for upcoming events
o Provide on-site support for pop-ups events and vendor days.
o Support the evolution of our digital consumer experience by creating strategies to drive traffic and sales.
o Support the brand's digital roadmap that accounts for emerging technologies, market dynamics, business needs and guest needs.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Additional finance or human resources background preferred.
- Knowledge of Alaska's cannabis products, brands, cultivation/extraction methods, safe consumption practices, and a general familiarity with cannabis culture.
- A valid marijuana handler's permit for the State of Alaska.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Exceptional standard of cleanliness.
- Ability to lead an effective team that optimizes strategies to fit people's strengths.
Existing knowledge of cannabis products and how they are consumed/created is preferred, but not required to succeed. Additional knowledge bases of value can include such things as: market information related to our local vendors, cannabis culture trends, and the regulatory information around Alaska's cannabis laws.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
