The Budtender Position
The entry level position at Enlighten is a dual-role position including sales and production projects. Entry level employees rotate between these two roles as needed.
Budtenders make up our front of house retail sales team. While fulfilling this role, budtenders help customers in our retail store and help them select a suitable cannabis product to fit their needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with the Shift Leads on duty what the daily deals and sales goals are
- Friendly customer service, ID Checks, and sales
- Advising customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.
- Educating customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products.
- Processing customers' payments and returns using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system, Greenbits.
- Open and close cash drawers with an accurate count
- Correctly weigh, package, and label cannabis products as required during the final assembly of goods in preparation for sales floor, up to and including: Tube Pre-Rolls. Sticker Projects, Pre-Pack Flower, Pre-Roll Production, and Sales Floor Organization
- Maintain general cleanliness of lobby, sales counter, employee bathroom, and kitchenette/break roo
- Re-stock front end consumable goods (exit bags, flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, edibles, receipt paper, merch, etc) during, and at the close of each shift
- Take the lead with tech malfunctions (scanners/printers/registers/POS system), and communicate promptly with the Shift Lead or Store Manager when tech malfunctions occur if you cannot solve them.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in retail sales. Dispensary experience preferred.
- A valid marijuana worker's permit or license.
- Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their wellness benefits.
- Familiarity with word processing, design software, basic spreadsheet tasks, and organization skills.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Position Description
The production technician will work on the schedule of the facility; learning how to use equipment and technology to take raw plant materials and turn them into sellable and consumable products.
Existing knowledge of cannabis products and how they are consumed/created is preferred, but not required to succeed. Additional knowledge bases of value can include such things as market information related to our local vendors, competing brands, cannabis culture trends, and the regulatory information around Alaska's cannabis laws.
You will be expected to refer to work orders on any given shift for such tasks as:
o Sort, grind, sift, and organize raw plant materials for production prep
o Set-up, break-down, and deep clean of workspaces and production equipment
o Assembly of pre-rolls, via use of Futurola equipment, and by hand.
o Assembly of infused pre-rolls, by hand.
o Weighing and Packaging of bulk flower for wholesale.
o Creation of capsules, dabs, and vape cartridges per instruction of Lab Assistant and Inventory Compliance Specialist
o Labelling and packaging flower and manufactured goods for sale, and organizing them into the designated storage system for ready-to-sell backstock.
o Manage waste protocols, procedures, and logs for any material not deemed usable, under the direction of the Pre-Roll Production Specialist, Inventory Compliance Specialist, and Garden Manager.
o Defoliating plants
o Trimming dried plant materials
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in production lines, print shops, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, or logistics is preferred but not required.

Position Description
HR Responsibilities and Duties:
o Receiving all deliveries that arrive after standard 9-5 business hours
o Cash handling and payment preparation for purchases coordinated with Purchasing Specialist
o Coordination with Lead Budtenders and Store Manager to address store needs and requests from sales team
o Contribute to creation of training curriculum for all sales floor positions within the retail, regarding such things as:

Roles and Responsibilities:

o Create continued hands-on cross-training opportunities for all retail staff roles

Position Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform extraction material prep via:
o Grinding plant material
o Loading extraction columns
- Perform plant material extraction via the X-Act X-Tract CO2 Extractor system for various end-product types and maintain continuous supply chain for them.
- Perform post-processing tasks including, but not limited to:
o Winterization
o Color remediation
o Decarbing
o Terpene distillation
o Cannabinoid distillation
o Rotovaping
o Vacuum filtration
- Perform routine maintenance to lab equipment including, but not limited to:
o Vacuum Pump oil change (every 6 months)
o Rotovap waterbath change (every 2 weeks)
o Storage Glassware Cleaning (every day)
o Polyscience Chiller (as needed)
- Deep clean and upkeep of vacuum oven within CO2 lab (as needed)
- Coordinate for weekly run material priorities with the Inventory Compliance Specialist and the BHO Manufacturing Specialist to ensure optimized efficiency for both labs output
- Work in tandem with Brand Director and Inventory Compliance Specialist towards overall production goals to ensure the supply chain of CO2 extract products
- Coordinate with Kitchen Manufacturing Specialist regarding the demand for extracts that is required for continued supply to all edible product lines
- Maintain and oversee production tracking yield data and regularly upload to communal ShareDrive
The CO2 Manufacturing Specialist will work on the schedule of the facility during the course of onboarding and training (8am-4pm, M-F), but will be allowed flexibility in scheduling after the completion of the 90-day probation period, as long as production needs continue to be met.
On-the job training of specialized equipment and processes is provided during the onboarding.

Location: Enlighten Production Facility
Standard shift hours: 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday (*Harvest Days can go later*)

Position Description
The production technician will work on the schedule of the facility; learning how to use equipment and technology to take raw plant materials and turn them into sellable and consumable products.
Existing knowledge of cannabis products and how they are consumed/created is preferred, but not required to succeed. Additional knowledge bases of value can include such things as market information related to our local vendors, competing brands, cannabis culture trends, and the regulatory information around Alaska's cannabis laws.
You will be expected to refer to work orders on any given shift for such tasks as:
o Sort, grind, sift, and organize raw plant materials for production prep
o Set-up, break-down, and deep clean of workspaces and production equipment
o Assembly of pre-rolls, via use of Futurola equipment, and by hand.
o Assembly of infused pre-rolls, by hand.
o Weighing and Packaging of bulk flower for wholesale.
o Creation of capsules, dabs, and vape cartridges per instruction of Lab Assistant and Inventory Compliance Specialist
o Labelling and packaging flower and manufactured goods for sale, and organizing them into the designated storage system for ready-to-sell backstock.
o Manage waste protocols, procedures, and logs for any material not deemed usable, under the direction of the Pre-Roll Production Specialist, Inventory Compliance Specialist, and Garden Manager.
o Defoliating plants
o Trimming dried plant materials
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in production lines, print shops, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, or logistics is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of Alaska's cannabis products, brands, cultivation/extraction methods, safe consumption practices, and a general familiarity with cannabis culture.
- A valid marijuana worker's permit or license.
- Familiarity with mechanical equipment, extraction equipment, printing and packaging concepts, basic spreadsheet tasks, and organization skills.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.

The Budtender Position
The entry level position at Enlighten is a dual-role position including sales and production projects. Entry level employees rotate between these two roles as needed.
Budtenders make up our front of house retail sales team. While fulfilling this role, budtenders aid customers in our retail store and help them select a suitable cannabis product to fit their needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sales
- Advising customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.
- Keeping abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends.
- Processing customers' payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Ensuring that the dispensary is clean and well-organized at all times.
- Educating customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products.
- Reception
- Greet Customers and answer questions during peak sales times
- Maintaining weedmaps, website, or any other customer facing resource
- Checking customers' identification documents to verify that they are of legal age.
- Production
- Taking inventory of cannabis products and ensuring that the sales floor is adequately stocked.
- Correctly weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products as required.
- Creation of ready to sell cannabis products from ready to package cannabis material
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in retail sales. Dispensary experience preferred.
- A valid marijuana worker's permit or license.
- Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their wellness benefits.
- Familiarity with word processing, design software, basic spreadsheet tasks, and organization skills.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
