Summary:
The administrative assistant will assist investigators and study staff from PCOM's School of Professional and Applied Psychology (clinical department) with a four-year observational study of outcomes in patients initiating medical cannabis therapy. Funding of this position is contingent upon the continued funding of the grant/contract.
This position is based at PCOM (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania).
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Support investigators and research staff to prepare study materials.
- Monitor budgets.
- Communicate with internal PCOM departments, including finance and legal, regarding study-related contracts, expenses and additional needs.
- Request or acquire equipment, surveys, or supplies necessary for the project.
- Manage staffing needs.
- Prepare materials for submission to external funding sources.
- Schedule study meetings.
- Assist study staff in preparing materials for IRB review.
- Assist research staff to maintain study databases and tracking systems.
- Attend project meetings.
- Prepare reports for study investigators and funders.
- Perform related responsibilities as required.
Position Requirements:
*Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a criminal background check.
Education:
- An associate’s degree is required.
- Note: An approved CAS Exception is required for anyone who is charged to a federal grant or contract under this job code.
Experience:
- One year of undergraduate or professional research experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
- Knowledge of research protocols.
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
- Mild physical work: Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently.
