We are looking for an experienced Payment Sales Representative who wants to help us define an industry that could grow to over $20B in 4 years or less. We are currently seeking an energetic and entrepreneurial Payment Sales Representative to join our growing team, and drive new sales revenue in the retail cannabis businesses.
We are seeking sales professionals who can build relationships with business owners, share the value of our platform, and be an ambassador for the Green Bits platform.
As a Sales Representative, you must be driven and able to work independently. You must be diligent, innovative, possess a tireless work ethic and passionate about our clients and the industry.
As a Payments Sales Representative you'll be joining at the ground floor of a impactful initiative behind one of the marquee brands in Cannabis technology, driving bottom-line metrics that impact multiple areas of our business. We are growing quickly and you will have the opportunity to work in a fast paced, growing environment.
You Will:
As a fast-moving startup, we value people who can take on whatever comes their way, figure it out, and get it done. We're looking for somebody who can find solutions along a wide cross section of initiatives.
- Proactively develop relationships with prospects and uncover opportunities for payment processing needs through outbound (primary) & inbound (secondary) sales channels
- Regularly schedule and manage appointments with clients, primarily by phone and email.
- Set expectations and address and remove common sales objections
- Attain monthly goals and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Manage the client relationship from introduction through first statement (first 30 days), while always being available for follow-up to direct inquiries to the appropriate team
- Fulfill current client needs when they wish to upgrade or change their current product suite
- Ensure a focus on client retention and onboard clients with solutions that meet their needs
- Sell as an individual contributor and be a team player, assisting your peers in the sales process
- Cross-sell into new and existing accounts
- Manage up to date CRM data management and perform data analysis to track sales trends and present to inform decision making of senior management
- Support and build existing relationships through a consultative relationship development approach
- Maintain knowledge of company products and services
- Performs other duties as required
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in Merchant Processing or the Financial Services industry
- Exceptional sales and negotiation skills
- Experience selling in self-sourced leads and inbound leads
- A demonstrable track record of delivery in the areas of key responsibility
- Strong communications, including oral and presentation skills.
- 5+ years B2B sales experience selling financial services
- Deep knowledge of merchant/payment processing strongly preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
Bonus Points:
- Experience selling Point of Sale solutions
- Experience selling to both small businesses and enterprise accounts
- Cannabis industry knowledge is a plus!
