Aro Media is a fresh, fast-growing marketing agency based out of South Eastern Michigan and we are looking for exceptional talent to come on board. As the Videographer/Editor + Photographer, you are a pivotal member of the team. The Michigan Cannabis Industry is still a relatively new space but is picking up steam in terms of quality and output. That's where you come in. With clients banging on the door, we need an agile, detail oriented, incredibly creative Videographer/Editor + Photographer. You will be working directly with the Creative Director and other team members to film in studio and on location for various cannabis industry clients. Content type will vary greatly from client to client from lifestyle, product, or on-location, so videographer/photographer must be versatile in their shooting/editing to fit any mold. Strong narrative ability a must. You will be asked to storyboard a cohesive narrative for video and schedule your time accordingly to gather a large amount of content assets in one shooting session. This is a fast-paced industry but the work will be very fun in terms of playfulness and innovation. The ideal candidate thrives in this environment, comfortably altering their style to fit the needs of the client.
Responsibilities:
- !!MUST INCLUDE PORTFOLIO FOR CONSIDERATION!!
- At least 2-4 years of qualified experience
- Conceptualize initial ideas and actively participate in team brainstorm
- Comfortably film/shoot in a studio setting with superior knowledge of energy, lighting, and audio
- High attention to detail and willingness to learn the stipulations involved with working in the cannabis industry
- Able to "edit while shooting" so that you can confidently leave a set knowing that all necessary shots/photos are attained before editing.
- Able to convert video into Instagram Reels format using the camera as a source for building energy in the video
- Able to time manage well and think like a "marketer." Being able to assess the ROI on a particular project and allocate time accordingly
- Maintain all equipment and order any props/tools as needed
- Eager to learn about the industry
- Experienced in video and photo editing software such as Adobe Premiere/Final Cut, After Effects, and Photoshop.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
