Do you love traveling and enjoy new experiences? Do you know an area so well that you could create local experiences for locals and visitors to enjoy?

If so, this will be your ideal opportunity!

Summary: The goal of this project is to design creative, fun and memorable tour experiences. You should be local to the city, or have intimate knowledge of the city. You may need to visit stops during the creation of this experience to take photos and ensure routes are walkable.

Pay: $200 per completed tour experience

Scope: We're looking for 1 - 2 daytime themed walking tours that highlight the best of the best of your city. These tours should encompass the local culture, history or unique must-see sightseeing aspects.

All experiences must include written content (2-3 paragraphs per tour stop - length will vary by experience type), mapped tour route, list of stops and address for each, summary synopsis, introduction and conclusion, photos and logistics arranged where applicable. This is not simply a writing project. Planning and thought must go into this so that each experience is well planned out.

There are two types of tours: (1) In-person with a tour guide and (2) app-based self-guided tours that customers enjoy through their mobile device. All tours should be written with both versions in mind. You can learn more about our tour application platform at WeJunket.com

Details:

Daytime Themed Walking Tours - These tours will be designed for longform in-person guided walking tours. You are responsible for coming up with the theme of the tour, which we will approve beforehand, content/story at each tour stop, 1-4 images of each stop, and the tour route. The full description, history, and information of each stop needs to be included in the writeup. The theme of the tour experience should highlight a local popular theme, or a creative and unique experience of the area. The walking distance must not exceed 1.2 miles, and must include 12 locations.

While we’re seeking new and unique experiences - in some instances, we want to offer experiences that are already offered and very popular in an area. An example of this is a Boston Freedom Trail in Boston. While it's not unique and has been around for a long time, it is something that people look to do when they go to Boston, MA. However, in creating a popular tour experience, you must include additional elements that will make it unique and different from alternatives. Your challenge is in deciding how you can take a new and fun twist on an old popular experience to improve it. Content written for these tours needs to be complete and comprehensive for each location. We don't want any details excluded, and want to add anything to make the experience special and interactive where possible.

If there is a unique shop, restaurant or other business along the tour route, consider partnering with relevant businesses to see if they are interested in participating, or providing a special offer to tour guests. Goal is to create 1 - 2 different experiences.

All tours should meet the following criteria:

• Be fun and unique experiences preferably not currently offered in the area. What makes this tour experience stand out from others?

• No boring experiences! They need to have market appeal that attracts people. We're not looking for a boring history walking tour, but something different that can really unlock a fun or unique aspect of the city. Examples include a cannabis tour in Denver, art deco tour in Miami, prohibition tour of NY, or history of witches tour in Salem.

• Walking tours must not exceed 1.2 miles total, and should be kept to between 60 and 90 minutes in duration.

• Tour route must be drawn in a logical path with public access.
