Cannabis Senior Accountant For Cannabis Dispensary Jobs

The senior accountant will be responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Reconcile and analyze monthly inventory investigate inventory discrepancies. Suggest and apply improved inventory procedure to reduce inventory discrepancies.
• Prepare month end journal entries and actively participate in month end close process.

• Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform various GL month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare Balance Sheet and P&L fluctuation analyses and investigate any variances
• Prepare internal and external financial reporting schedules
• Evaluate accounting processes and systems, along with identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities
• Maintain and enhance the internal controls over accounting processes and systems
• Assist in implementing new accounting policies and procedures
• Provide a high level of customer service within the company by providing financial insights and relevant reporting
• Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
• Completion of daily bank reconciliations

• Ad hoc accounting projects and requests, as needed

Skills

• Proven accounting experience
• Solid understanding of basic accounting GAAP.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Must have EXTENSIVE Quick Books online Experience
• Metrc track trace system experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
