Sales Representative - Hemp, West Coast
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Sales Representative who has an entrepreneurial spirit and recognizes the significant growth potential of becoming part of a company that is growing and impacting the establishment of
industrial hemp. This is an opportunity to join the company for an options included position and have a significant impact on the success of the company. The Sales Representative position is focused on profitable sales growth, new customer acquisition and quality relationship management. The successful individual will be results-oriented, aggressive and have a strong understanding of the sales pipeline process and client account development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Acquire, develop, grow and manage region distributors and direct growers to achieve and exceed sales goals

Follow the Front Range Sales Pipeline process to identify potential growers, establish product trials and then move through to adoption and sales retention.

Establish and lead sales business meetings, conduct presentations, and act as a of Front Range Biosciences evangelists
-
Introduce the company’s story, product and service solutions to prospective and existing accounts

Establish a territory business plan that identifies sales and marketing initiatives and programs that promote Front Range Biosciences products and services

Identify, negotiate and close purchase and sales agreements (PSA’s) with growers and coordinate with Customer Service to manage the order fulfillment and shipping plans for the grower customers

Document and manage all sales activities via sales tools

Generate leads via LinkedIn and other tools: developing pipelines through business networking and converting contacts to leads

Work with the Sales Support and Customer Service teams to maintain strong relations, renew successful partnerships and optimize sales through onboarding and training tools

Understand industry production systems and shifts and provide creative feedback and potential solutions back to the product and research and development teams

Collaborate with Product and Marketing departments to provide product positioning feedback and ideas that have resonated with distributors and growers

Attend regional and national trade shows, coordinated with Sales Support, Marketing other departments to represent Front Range Biosciences to growers and industry influencers

Ability to accept and embrace change within fast-paced business environment

Maintain a high level of energy and activity
QUALIFICATIONS

Motivated, results oriented, self-starter with 5-10 years of experience in product sales

Background in Hemp, Cannabis, or Horticulture/Agronomy sales. Broad expertise and understanding of hemp

Background in Biology/Horticulture/Agronomy/Plant Biology/Agricultural Sciences or similar and/or at least two 2 years of industrial and/or research experience, or equivalent. Broad expertise and understanding in plant biology/agriculture. Degree preferred, not required.

Proven track record and experience in sales, account development and relationship management

Superior sales skills (cold calling, lead generation, account development, etc.)

Very strong cold calling skills: working for lists, executing calls, and performing timely follow ups

Strong lead generation skills: prospecting, qualification, finding and connecting with the decision maker

Strong direct and channel sales skills

Able to think creatively and have a proven track record in aligning and driving sales transactions to successful completion

Strong presentation, negotiation and selling skills

Ability to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building

Ability to use sales tools including Salesforce

Excellent verbal, written and presentation ability

Ability to work independently from home

Open to travel 50% of the time
COMPENSATION / BENEFITS

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $85,000/yr doe plus commission and employee stock options

Benefits: Health, vision, and dental insurance; ten (10) days vacation, five (5) days sick time, ten (10) company paid holidays, company paid life and AD&D insurance
