Position Summary
Facilitates sales including wholesales to manufacturers, retailers, and cultivators, which includes developing and managing relationships with manufacturers, retailers, & cultivators, execution of merchandising, order fulfillment processing, and sales cycle while maintaining compliance within company and regulatory policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Seek and manage prospective buyers, negotiate sales contracts, and ensure successful execution of the sale throughout the sales cycle.
- Understand and manage the daily operations of the wholesales strategy
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures
- Monitor operating and financial metrics to control costs and enhance profitability and partner care
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of industry rules and regulations related to the product to uphold compliance standards
- Coordinate with Management to create and maintain departmental budget
- Work closely with security team and/or develop and maintain comprehensive security policies to ensure employee and patron safety within retail, wholesale, or manufacturing exchanges
- Effectively manage inventory within tracking software
- Effectively manage cash controls and financial reporting
- Maintain awareness of cannabis trends to help create innovative and adaptive strategies.
- Work closely with clients to understand and learn about their products to better educate customers with their purchases
- Must be able to handle constructive criticism and guidance and offer the same to others in the department
- Create budgets and forecast sales based on principles of business in sales, service, and profit goals
- Use software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports
- Exercise administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results impacting staff, costs, and/or quality of service within the functional area
- Manage satisfactory delivery and transportation of products to appropriate places, work closely with Delivery team to coordinate retail, wholesale, manufacturing or cultivation exchanges
- Travel to retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and cultivation sites
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 21 years or older
- Successful completion of CORI check
- 4+ years experience in successful independent sales positions
- Microsoft Office/Google Drive proficient
- Knowledge of the cannabis market
- Able to exchange non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Up to date driver’s license
