The Role
The CPG Regulatory Compliance Coordinator supports the CPG business with administrative duties for a fast-paced, energetic cannabis company. This individual will report directly to the CPG Regulatory Counsel and will work closely with the Quality and Compliance and Brand Development teams to support wholesale operations to ensure compliance with all aspects of cannabis regulations.
Core Responsibilities
- Assists CPG regulatory compliance operations with meticulously tracking due dates and archiving documents.
- With oversight from the CPG Regulatory Counsel, electronically organizes and maintains all CPG compliance documents, using the company's internal document control system.
- Understand the letter and spirit of the cannabis rules and regulations.
- Liaison with on-site quality and compliance personnel on completion of monthly/quarterly/annual regulatory compliance reports and track/log reports to the regulatory agencies.
- Become a proficient user of the company's document control system.
- Assist with special projects as directed by the CPG Regulatory Counsel and/or Assistant GC: Litigation & Regulatory Compliance.
- Maintains the monthly CPG compliance calendar for personnel and calendars CPG regulatory compliance due dates.
- Works with the CPG Regulatory Compliance team to coordinate and organize documentation to send to regulatory agencies for various submissions, including, product, packaging and labeling submissions; modification, alteration, and variance submissions; deficiencies; and reporting submissions.
- Assist with the creation and production of PowerPoint presentations.
- Organizes the CPG Regulatory Compliance Department's SharePoint web page and keeps it up-to-date.
- Provide general administrative support to Regulatory Compliance Department.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist site Quality and Compliance team, as needed
- Track/log the Quality & Compliance team's submissions of variances, modifications, and alteration change requests to the regulatory agencies.
- Track/log the Quality and Compliance team's submissions of updated plans and SOP changes to the regulatory agencies.
- Track/log the Quality and Compliance team's internal regulatory compliance audits and regulatory inspections.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree required.
- CPG manufacturing compliance experience preferred.
- FDA regulatory proficiency is a plus.
- Knowledge of compliance in a highly regulated industry such as cannabis, alcohol, tobacco, or pharmaceuticals preferred.
- Good communication a must.
- Project management skills to see tasks through to completion.
- PC, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe proficiency.
- Ability to work in team environment as well as the ability to work independently in solving daily obstacles.
- Accuracy, detail oriented, and confidentiality a must.
