The Regional Training and Development Manager builds partnerships within the retail space while training new and existing retail teams on new product launches and continued education of existing products. This role will require implementing training methods by pinpointing key areas of opportunity in the assigned region with the goal to enhance consultative sales and the patient experience. This position requires a person that is passionate about learning, teaching, and continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a driver of the processes, and organizational competency through educational interactions with employees and within the community
- Assist the Senior Training Manager with driving company culture, customer service and leadership
- Conduct continuing education for all staff in retail locations
- Work with various departments to obtain knowledge of new products
- Conduct in person/virtual trainings with retail stores to ensure proper education of new products prior to launch
- Collaborate with Training Team in developing and maintaining Learning Management System and provide recommendations on how to improve training
- Act as a subject matter expert with MUV and Verano brand products
- Visit multiple retail stores monthly to conduct in house training
- Act as the forward-facing individual within local communities
- Stay informed on the regulatory and research trends within the cannabis industry
- Provide recommendations on how to increase community engagement
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding issues that may affect company's reputation and reach a timely solution
- Support implementation of new systems
- Follow monthly calendar implemented by the Senior Training and Development Manager
- Utilize KPIs to monitor, adjust, and optimize performance
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates/Bachelors degree highly preferred. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- 1+ years' experience in the cannabis industry
- Retail experience in a leadership capacity preferred
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Able to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations
- Comfortable with high-volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves"
- Operate with autonomy and discretion
- Maintain good judgement, initiative, attention to detail, and drive for change
- Able to get organizational support, build ownership and commitment, make strategic decisions, and develop others
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry
- Must be able to commute to and work out of Meriden, CT
