We quickly became one of the top selling vapor cartridges on the market in the state of Washington. Now, as well-known leaders in a recreational market, we continue to stay true to the highest standards. We’ve expanded our products through a series of innovation and integrity to provide premium products with a focus on potency, purity, and affordability for our customers.
Optimum Extracts is expanding its reach to the state of Nevada, and we are actively looking for an experienced Sales Representative to represent and build our brand, establish strong relationship with dispensaries, and grow product sales across the state of Nevada.
Position Summary
Optimum Extracts Sales Representatives are responsible for generating leads, advancing the sales process, closing new business, and achieving/assisting in the development of opportunity-based sales goals. This includes conducting research and analyzing data to identify leads and reach business targets through telephone, email, and in person interactions with accounts. Position is responsible for bringing consistent flow of profitable new business to the company, in accordance with the sales and marketing plan, while managing and growing existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Sales:
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage time independently
- Manage pipeline sales, develop new account leads and close dispensary sales
- Present, promote and sell products using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
- Prospect new accounts through cold calling, in person meetings, and networking events
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Achieve opportunity-based sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Work closely with other departments to satisfy sales efforts
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential and plan actionable efforts to increase sales
- Utilize data and/or sales reporting analytics to help craft sales strategy and tactics
- Stay up to date on best practices and promotional trends
- Provide engaging education and training to budtenders and other consumer-facing sales roles
- Mediate and negotiate promotional discounts, returns, and facilitate excellent customer service
- Ability to remain positive and energized in moments of stress and rejection as a result of successes
- Continuously improve through feedback
- Bring new and innovative ideas to assist sales/marketing and provide feedback to improve production/delivery processes
- Participate in events, social media, online forums, webinars, etc. to network and connect with potential partners and consumers
- Perform demos at various locations to share product information and promote products
- Handle event scheduling and distribution of promotional materials, samples, swag, etc.
- Collaborate with marketing function to support sales activities
- Identify competition and potential opportunities and work proactively to grow and maintain shelf space
Other responsibilities:
- Receive packaging inventory in NV from WA
- Work closely with both staff in WA as well as NV
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or Equivalent; College Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Previous cannabis experience in the B2B sales required
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable and confident with public speaking and presenting
- Personable, outgoing, and positive with a desire to engage with team members, business partners and customers
- Minimum of 2 years general work experience in the Cannabis industry. (This might include: sales, customer service, teaching/training, marketing/promotions, brand rep or spokesperson.)
- Established relationships with cannabis businesses preferred
- General understanding of marketing and how to apply to sales
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office apps, including Outlook, Word, Excel
- Current Driver’s License
- Own your own registered and insured vehicle
Schedule:
- Day shift; Monday to Friday
- Ability to work some weekends for events
- Quarterly travel to Reno area
- Willing to travel to WA State for training at beginning of tenure
