Cannabis Metals Analyst Icp Ms Operator Jobs

IAS Laboratories is a fantastic, fast paced family environment, internationally known agricultural laboratory and research facility. We are currently looking for a dedicated, hardworking ICP-MS operator to join our great team.

The Position:

• Shift 7 am - 3pm Monday - Friday
• Overtime maybe require occasionally on busy days

Daily Tasks:

• Sample prep of cannabis, water, compost, and other materials
• Microwave digestions of cannabis, water, compost, and other materials
• Analyze samples on the ICP-MS and export data into the laboratory software
• Maintain/service the CEM 6 Microwave digestor, ICP-MS and two ICP-EOS
• Maintain Maintenance logs
• Coordinate with manufacturers to have instruments serviced
• Maintain an Error / Correction log
• Manage ICP (MS & EOS) / Microwave Digestor spares and standards inventory
• Keep work areas clean and tidy
• Assist in the Chemistry lab with other related analysis

Overall Requirements

• Technician will take ownership of the ICP operation.
• This person will not only be a user, but also learn to be an operator.
• Technician will understand the basic methodology of how the machine functions to create results.
• The expectation that the individual will have read the operations manuals.
• Technician will be involved in SOP development

Experience requirements

• ICP-MS operator Experance
• MUST be organized and tasked oriented
• Basic computer skills are a must (excel, word, email)
• Knowledge of basic algebra/college algebra I
• College degree required - B.S. preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team are a must
• Candidates must have a valid AZ Driver's license
• Dependability is of great importance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
