Lead Technician - Outdoor Maintenance & Apprentice Master Gardener

Location: Washington D.C

Pay: $17.00 - $24 an hour

Pay Schedule: Pay is administered weekly on Fridays, for the prior pay period(Monday - Sunday).

Bonus: Receive a bonus for completing the assigned route and for completing work ahead of schedule.

Work Schedule: Each week select the time slots you are available to work. The next weeks schedule (Mon.-Fri.) is set the Friday in advance.

The first 4 weeks, expect to average 4 days of work, 8 hours each. After 4 weeks, expect to work 5 days, 8 hours each.

Treehous is the parent company to Townhome Landscapes (www.townhomelandscapes.com) and Capital Grow Consulting (www.capitalgrowco.net). Work will be split between remote and field work for Townhome Landscapes and Capital Grow Consulting.

Townhome Landscapes is a one-stop shop for landscaping maintenance and design services in Washington DC. The majority of your time spent work will be on Townhome Landscapes related tasks.

Capital Grow Consulting is the premier hub for novice home gardeners inWashington DC. We efficiently provide our clients with the skills, knowledge and experience to grow superior organic produce through hands-on and remote education. We are setting DC Residents up with state-of-the-art craft cannabis home gardens; besides consulting on the set-up of the home garden, we focus on teaching the no-till method. Currently, we are focused on consulting on cannabis and herbs, but are preparing to consult on tomatoes, peppers and other types of produce.

Job Description

The person in the Lead Technician role for Treehous, LLC is responsible for completing the route they are assigned each workday. Completing the route includes independently navigating to multiple job sites and completing assigned tasks for both Townhome Landscapes and Capital Grow Consulting.

Townhome Landscapes tasks are centered around the routine maintenance of clients properties. The Lead Technician will also be expected to perform site map analysis for one-time work, interface with community members, sell Townhome

Landscapes service, .

Capital Grow Consulting tasks are centered around the delivery and installation of garden kits, and other products ordered off of www.capitalgrow.net. The Lead

Technician is also responsible for entering clients residence, taking trimmings from clients plants for XY (Sex) Testing, and delivering them to the XY Test center.

Assigned route the key to the Washington DC Service Map.

As a Lead Technician, you will report to the Head of Operations. You will ordinarily work alone, but may be asked to manage a crew member. Expect to consistently work 4-5 full days a week, totaling 35-40+ hours of work. This is a year-round position.

We offer one time services: design creation, sod installation, hardscaping services, flower bed maintenance and more. You will likely have the opportunity to prove yourself working on these jobs.

Requirements

• Clean driving record

• Driver’s License

• Drive company vehicle to job sites, as determined by schedule

• Independently maintain lawns, flower beds, sidewalks, and driveways

• Operate push lawn mower to mow lawns

• Operate weed eater to trim along borders and edge along sidewalks and driveways

• Leave job site in clean condition

• Assist with one-time services, i.e. hardscape, sod installation

• Assist with the installation of client's home gardens

• Report any maintenance concerns or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

• Return vehicle and equipment in working condition

• Use a timer to measure time spent driving and working on the job.

• Respectfully engage with community stakeholders

• Other tasks include collecting food waste, dog waste, trash, weeding flower beds, and trimming shrubs.

• Enter client's homes and take trimmings for XY Testing

• Deliver waste to the landfill

Job Qualifications

• Self-motivated, independent, able to work alone and in teams.

• 3+ years of landscaping, and/or home improvement experience

• Demonstrated leadership of leading initiatives and projects

• Technologically savvy

• Professional communication

• Ability to work 4-5 days a week

• Ability to work 8 -11 hour days in all types of local weather/conditions
