Lennon Farm Greenhouses in Tabernacle, New Jersey is looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated person to join our Growing Department! The ideal candidate will have experience in a large, fast-paced, wholesale greenhouse setting, but we are willing to train the right individual. Close attention to detail is a must.
This position is full-time. Usual shift is 7/8am-5/6pm. In slower months (September-December), you will be able to work 4-5 days a week. Occasional 6-day weeks may be required during peak busy season (February-June). This position qualifies for overtime pay.
Job Responsibilities:
- Watering, fertilizing, various chemical application
- Keep detailed notes of chemical applications (amounts/dates/etc.)
- Pruning/pinching plants
- Quality Control
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment
- Assist shipping department as needed
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Horticulture, Plant Science, Entomology (or similar field) and/or experience working in a large greenhouse setting
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

The Section Grower position is responsible for all aspects of plant management in their section.

The duties and responsibilities of this position include:
Candidate must have a good understanding of irrigation techniques, growing media, lighting, fertilization, nutrition, pest & disease identification and control and chemical applications
Good understanding of greenhouse management practices/ environmental control
Communicating clearly with Head Grower about any concerns in their area
Ability to produce crops to specifications
Detailed Crop record keeping
Help with other greenhouse tasks as required
Work well and effectively with co-workers
Bilingual in Spanish is helpful but not required

The Sales Associate will be responsible for product knowledge, the sale of products, customer experience and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role will assist customers with their purchases, recommend suitable products, address customer concerns and ensure that the sales floor is adequately stocked, cleaned and organized.
