Core Job Duties
- Perform cannabis extractions and related processes.
- Run testing procedures on HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS and ICPMS
- Attend appropriate training with external vendors.
- Perform preparation and cleaning of equipment and workspace.
- Support instrument monitoring, maintenance, calibration, and cleaning.
- Maintaining and operating lab equipment safely while following good manufacturing practice standards.
- Drafting of instrument out-of-specification reports.
- Ability to safely handle hazardous materials including: Acids, bases, butane, propane, ethanol, pentane, isopropyl alcohol, critically hot material, cryogenic cold material etc.
- Review and implement employee training plan.
- Train other instrument and assay operators.
- Develop and validate new assays and procedures.
- Draft and review SOP’s and data reports.
- Draft and review new documents and changes to existing documents within the quality system.
- Create and review assay validation packets.
- Maintain strict inventory records of all materials, chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory, anticipating needed supplies and ordering same.
- Create and properly use batch traceability records.
- Reviewing batch records for batch/lot release and review of certificate of analysis.
- Maintain daily temperature recordings and traceability documents.
- Reviewing data to determine pass/fail criteria and measurement uncertainty.
- Track and review data to identify trends.
- Supporting compliance with all State, Federal, and local laws.
- Supporting the review and implementation of new MMCC requirements.
- Supporting the commitment to impartiality and operations integrity.
- Reporting risks or infringements of impartiality and/or operations integrity to Management.
- Supporting Quality System annual review.
- Supporting internal and external audits of the laboratory.
- Ensuring safety and company policies are adhered to consistently and effectively and are communicated clearly to staff.
- Maintain excellent professional relationships with vendors and outside colleagues.
- Developing Certificates of Analysis for clients.
- Interact with clients regarding Certificates of Analysis and testing methods.
