We are currently looking for an Import Associate to join our growing team!

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a focused and goal driven Import Associate to join our expanding team. In this key role, you will work closely with most departments, clients, and FDA / USDA agencies to expeditiously and successfully prepare, complete and forward all documentation relative to FDA sampling, testing and reporting.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate FDA sampling from beginning to end. Speaking with the clients, arranging the sampling/pickup, testing and reporting to FDA.
• Reports submitted to FDA must be prepared accordingly, proof read, and submit final analytical packages to the FDA in a timely manner.
• On a daily basis, ensure accuracy of LIMS FDA data entries by effectively review daily sample receipts to ensure accuracy of collection reports, Notices of Action, packing lists, etc. for correct entry of tests needed in LIMS.
• Interact via phone call or written correspondence via email and/or fax to FDA, vendors and clients.
• Actively participate in all FDA Import meetings and Task forces.
• Respond to client questions/concerns in a timely manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree Minimum.
• Minimum three years’ experience in Customer Service.
• Critical thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Active listening – giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points and asking questions.
• Excellent computer skills
• Experience working in a productive environment, handling large volumes of work accurately and within established time lines.

Reporting to the SVP Operations, the Senior Director Commercial Product Development and Regulatory Affairs is a strategic and tactical leader for ideation, development and commercialization of new methods, technologies and services within the nicotine/tobacco (Chemistry) and cannabis/hemp space. He/she leads a team from ideation until deployment of method/technology/service into production at all Labstat locations. The incumbent is a recognized Regulatory Affairs thought leader and expert in worldwide tobacco/nicotine regulations as well as current regulations for cannabis and hemp. He/she insures that Development and Regulatory Affairs give Labstat a competitive advantage and are revenue drivers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Builds the Development and Regulatory Affairs team ensuring it is structured and organized for long-term success and effectively uses current and envisioned future regulations to determine strategy for the Labstat labs.


• Leads a team that is responsible for the ideation, development, validation/transfer and commercialization of methods and assays, technologies and services in the field of chemistry for the product classes the business is active in.


• Effectively influences future regulations by being an active member of task forces, engaging in conversations with regulators and direct conversations with the industry.


• Develops vision and strategy for next generation analytical needs for the industry including new analytical technologies and computational methods for New Generation Products.


• Works closely with business developent, operations, strategic marketing and commercial enablement to define the needs being addressed in each project ensuring projects are delivered on time. Co-leads the definition, documentation and approvals of the needs and customer requirements being addressed in each Development project. Oversees the translation of the needs and customer requirements into technical specifications.


• Leads cross functional teams to assess the commercial viability of new methods, technologies and services.


• Ensures that the necessary technical competencies, infrastructure, equipment and other resources are in place and maintained.


• Directs the development of scientists and RA experts to meet current and future business needs.


• Identifies, authorizes active participation and participates in external task forces and technical meetings that the company engages in.


• Develops and maintains strong relationships with academia, regulatory bodies, industry and research programs.


• Acts as subject matter expert for technical meetings with (prospective) customers.


• Accountable for strategy and execution of technical communications, presentations and (white) papers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare various tax returns (1040s, 1041s, 1065s, 1120s), tax extensions and tax projections
• Organizing tax information
• Assisting with tax notices and examinations
• Assisting with tax audits, perform light research projects and monitor and review financial information
• Maintain working knowledge of tax software used in office

Qualifications:

• Have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MST is a plus

• You must be friendly! Our office is like a little family. You must work well with others and exhibit great teamwork. Go Beyond! Help each other achieve goals.

• Live, eat, and breathe rows and columns? You'll fit right in. This role relies heavily on Excel, Google Sheets, and integrating multiple external applications into them.
• Are you familiar with Salesforce? Like, *really* familiar? Do you know how to edit fields, navigate dependencies, and implement automations? Perfect.

• You must be comfortable with money... Virtually, anyway. You'll be balancing large sums of money in bank accounts, payment processors, and commissions sheets. Attention to detail is absolutely critical. If you want to automate this or deal with this programmatically, even better!

• Organization is key. You'll be responsible for lots of files, reports, and banking information. Do you use a file naming convention on your personal computer? If so, you're probably who we are looking for.

• Optional: Hiisssssssss! Do you speak Python? Bonus points for you. We would like to build and maintain a couple of custom web apps. More of a Ruby person? That works, too.

• Having a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
