REPORTS TO: General Manager
SALARY: $60,000
POSITION SUMMARY:
Our ideal Associate GM will assist the General Manager with day-to-day operations at the retail level. The Associate GM helps maintain organization and lends operational support to all aspects of retail operations from reception to inventory.
This also includes, cash-handling, training, providing policy and procedure updates, keeping-up dated with industry news and product information.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee Relations and Staff Management:
· Responsible for supporting General manager and Staff.
· Provides management and leadership to all staff dispensary which includes monitoring all inventory and point of sale transactions.
· Assisting store manager in training sales associates, and monitoring inventory.
· Establishes methods to make sure all staff are compliant with all State and local rules and regulations.
· Manages policies and procedures for the return of cannabis and cannabis products, the storage and/or disposal of such products, and meeting reporting requirements for adverse events and product recall.
· Serves as a role model, liaison, and resource for dispensary staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news and changes in regulations.
· Responds to all staff questions, concerns or suggestions within scope; and reports to GM for resolution.
· Works with General Manager to Conduct investigations: respond to unemployment claims, EEOC, DOL, and/or employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civic rights complaints.
· Analyze data, and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement for product and policies.
· Conduct performance reviews with employees and monitor employee productivity, attitudes, and performance results.
· Recruit and retain top quality staff for each department; assist with interviews.
· Facilitates getting change for store and any non-cannabis supply runs
Customer Service and Compliance:
· Provides superior customer service for vendors, patient/customers, and caregivers
· Responds to patient/customer complaints, requests, concerns, suggestions and takes action when directed by the store manager to resolve conflicts including responses and replies across social platforms.
· Supervises and performs inventory control actions such as receiving, counting and inspecting for quality and compliance. Conducts receiving compliance inspections for every inbound shipment.
· Assists the GM in Accurately documenting all inventory movements to be recorded in the company’s track and trace system and into the State’s track and trace software, METRC to identify the proper location and quantity of product at all time.
· Assist GM with reconciliation inventory counts based on company requirements.
· Assists store manager with overseeing supply orders and deliveries to ensure accurate order information and timeliness of deliveries.
· Responsible for understanding and comprehending cannabis education as well as open to learning more through personal development.
· Reports, Documentation and Profitability.
· Responsible for assisting social media duties as assigned by the General Manager.
· Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned.
· Assist General Manager with bi-weekly payroll and scheduling
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· High School Diploma/GED required. Some college preferred.
· Must be 21 years old by date of hire.
· (2-3) years of experience in a retail position with managerial responsibilities, preferably in the cannabis industry
· Must have CA driver's license
· Working understanding of state and local medical and recreational cannabis laws
· Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
· Effective time management and ability to multitask
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment
· Proficiency and/or experience in Microsoft applications, Gmail, and GSuite
· Experience with point of sale applications
· Must adhere to Employee Handbook policies
· Must sign NDA/Non-compete Forms
· Background/LiveScan required
· (1-2) years large sum cash-handling experience
· Accurate data entry and record keeping

POSITION SUMMARY:
Our ideal Team Leader is energetic, kind, insightful, and offers cannabis knowledge. Our company loves to invest in our budtenders to put them on the fast track for promotions within our company. They will assist guests, clients, vendors and management whenever possible. Team Leads assist the management team with the activities and operations of the store, while abiding by policies, procedures and operational guidelines. Team leads will support staff from the front of the house to the back. You must possess the ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences as well as consistently learn products and develop cannabis education.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Service and Sales:
- Greeting every customer with a big smile and kind attitude - “Hello -Welcome to Catalyst!” while making sure they are aware of all promos and/or daily deals.
- Know that the customer comes first before additional job duties are performed.
- Responsible for supporting General Manager, Dispensary Manager, and Inventory Managers.
- Serve as break/lunch relief for both budtenders and front desk.
- Responds to all customer and budtender questions, concerns, or suggestions and reaches out to management when necessary.
- Maintain a compliant and clean facility and assures side-work completion every shift.

Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- At least 6 months of Budtending experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background/Live Scan check.
- Must adhere to Employee Handbook policies.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Previous retail experience; cannabis sales experience preferred.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale cashier systems.
- Ability to perform general mathematical calculations and have cash handling skills.
- Must be able to individually lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods of time.
- Must be able to stand for at least 4 hours straight.
