JOB SUMMARY
Inventory Managers are responsible for recording and ordering materials, products, and supplies. The Inventory Manager is responsible for site compliance, working with all departments to ensure the accurate and timely collection of data, and developing a working relationship with state inspectors. The Inventory Manager completes their duties in compliance with the company policy, laws and rules governed by the State. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
- Examine the levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages
- Document daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory
- Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels
- Evaluating new inventory ensuring it's ready to ship
- Properly order new supplies avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies
- Analyze various supplies to ensure the company is receiving the best cost-effective deals
- Hire and train new employees
- Work directly with state inspections to ensure site compliance
- Walk through with any state inspector that may come onsite, and document the visit on the deviation log and external agency report
- Collect, organize and file required state documents
- Oversee all Metrc processes/data entry and train employees on correct use of Metrc
- Work with all department managers to implement data tracking through Metrc, ensuring they are collecting all data required
- Complete weekly state inventory and send to state inspectors
- Complete product registrations and send to the state for approval
- Implement /revise data collection tools to maximize efficiency and accuracy
- Work with Cultivation Inventory Specialist to ensure weekly counts are complete and accurate
- Work with all departments to ensure waste protocol is followed, and accurately documented
- Assist Cultivation Inventory Specialist with counts/scanning as necessary
- Troubleshoot any issues brought up about inventory or compliance
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- 2-3 years' experience in Metrc preferred
- Associates degree preferred
- 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving required in commercial cannabis
- MS Excel experience is required
- Display accountability, proactive behavior
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict policies and procedure
- Well organized and ability to keep deadlines
- Works well with all peers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
- Full knowledge of all applicable law, regulations, and requirements to keep the facility at 100% compliance at all times, this includes being up to date on any changes to current applicable laws/regulations
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Registered Agent Card issued by the state of operation
- Must be able to internalize training and follow instructions
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
