Description: The Grower Relations Analyst is responsible for communicating with growers and suppliers throughout the PURIS network and maintaining a Grower funnel. This position will collect pertinent data points from the growers throughout the growing season and off-season including on-farm data and any other important information. Reports and organizes collected data from the producers and combines it with our internal information regarding supply chain, demand planning, and reporting for our yellow field pea metrics.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Gathers on-farm operations data to support the PurYield Coverage program
- Acts as liaison between Growers and PURIS business segments
- Collects on farm data to confirm internal data
- Communicates with new leads and sends necessary introduction materials
- Managing harvested bushel data from PURIS producers and suppliers
- Works within our internal grower and supply data compiling data points for weekly reporting
- Meeting and speaking to all of PURIS’ primary producers and suppliers
- Creating and populating weekly reporting metrics related to pea supply vs. demand plan
- Keeping updated numbers and confirming supply with primary producers
- Gathering on-farm data from producers and suppliers for internal records
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 1-3 years of experience in agricultural industry
- Proficient in data entry and analysis
- Effective communicator and experience speaking to producers
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations, juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and work individually as well as in teams
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and OneNote

Dayka & Hackett LLC maintains offices in Wilmington, DE and Edinburg, TX with headquarters in Reedley, CA. We are currently seeking a skilled Grower Relations Analyst to join our team in our Reedley office.
The Grower Relations Analyst works with a highly successful team overseeing sourcing and importation of fresh fruit from leading growers around the world. The Grower Relations Analyst is responsible for managing the product cycle from grower to customer. The analyst works closely with sales and marketing to meet customer supply needs. This position works in conjunction with the entire import management team in order to develop a sourcing strategy that delivers competitive and innovative products to our customers. The process requires critical thinking and careful analysis at each level. Analysis can be very detailed and tedious at times. Networking and resourcefulness are critical to the process.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relations with a wide network of growers around the world.
- Gain a full understanding of each grower and crop potential.
- Work with sales to forecast detailed customer program requirements and match them with growers shipping capabilities.
- Assist the contract administrator in collecting information for formal contracts and collect/create related documentation.
- Gain a thorough understanding of customer product needs and expectations. Develop and communicate detailed product specifications as required for customer and growers.
- Attend grower meetings to gain an understanding of their capabilities, discuss programs and review historical supply activity.
- Analyze grower actual versus forecasted volumes and identify and explain variances.
- Engage growers on a continuous basis via written and verbal communication about various business activities including product arrivals and grower compliance.
- Analyze sales activity for customers for various programs comparing actual versus forecasted and historical activity.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of import and export requirements, rules and regulations on the local, state, federal, and international levels.
- Evaluate financial impact of commitments and advances for products sourced.
- Perform stress tests on programs and advances as required.
- Meet regularly with grower services team and sales to review sourcing and sales activity.
- Assist with grower insurance claims for distressed and/or delayed cargo.
- Analyze vendor services and cost structures related to the movement of grower cargo.
- Interact with company legal counsel relative to crop filings, security interest, etc.
- Research grower’s background, as required.
- Review and update packaging material, artwork, and customer specifications.
- Analyze market and industry trends surrounding new varieties, new supplier regions, pricing, and packaging trends.
- Process troubles with rejected fruit.
- Enter shipping manifests (BL) for inbound cargo from various sources.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Agricultural Business, Global Business and/or International Business preferred
- Excellent writing skills a must
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and pivot tables.
- Experience with Access a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
- Fluency in Spanish required
