At Southern Crop, our Fulfillment Associates are the team members responsible for ensuring our products are packaged and labelled. Fulfillment Associates are responsible for ensuring usable cannabis products are appropriately labelled, packaged, and organized to ship to dispensaries. Therefore, a Fulfillment Associate should feel comfortable with manual packaging operations including printing, loading, and packing products into the appropriate container. The primary function of the Fulfillment Associate is to support the processing team in making machines produce the highest quality product possible.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Package products under the direction of the Processing Supervisor.
- Become proficient in the setup, labelling, affixing, and boxing of all product in the facility.
- Work with others to ensure that printers or other packaging equipment is in proper working order.
- Responsible for running, maintaining, and organizing the packaging lines.
- Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations.
- Ensuring the printers are properly cared for and the environment is held to food safety standards.
- Documenting meetings, taking notes, and following directions of processing leadership.
- Document all products in METRC, including generating and maintaining transport manifests as needed.
- Follow all record-keeping requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Present themselves in a professional and helpful manner.
- Assist with cleanliness of the packaging area.
- Follow all directions regarding the safe use of chemicals used to clean printers.
- Able to communicate and follow directions appropriately.
- Maintain a sense of urgency and be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Follow directions of supervisors and cooperate with team needs.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule by assisting in other departments when needed.
- Any other task(s) as assigned by management.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High-school diploma or equivalent, logistics is a plus.
- General cannabis education is preferred but not required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background record check.
- Must hold a valid form of identification (Driver license, state ID)
- Prior experience, preferably in production or factory environments.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills, physical ability to operate machines, and professionalism to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form; ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to operate electronic equipment (scanners, computer, laptop), comprehend safety procedures, and utilize telecommunication devices.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
- Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
- Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
WORK SCHEDULE
- Flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available after hours if an emergency should arise, or if otherwise needed at the discretion of management.
