Overnight Eating Disorder Technician (Overnight ED Tech) is responsible for assisting and supporting patients through the entire treatment experience from admission through discharge. Overnight ED Tech is responsible for contributing insightful, practical, and meaningful information to the treatment planning process. Overnight ED Tech responsibilities primarily include ensuring patient safety, conducting routine safety observations, maintaining a safe and clean therapeutic environment, and supporting patients.
Responsibilities
Stay awake to ensure a closely supervised, safe, and therapeutic environment during the overnight and early morning hours- Completes overnight checklist, including light household cleaning and temperature checks
- Supports patient during admission processes. This may include checking in patient belongings, acclimating patient to the program and milieu.
- Effectively and professionally communicates with families/loved ones, as appropriate.
- Completes relevant tasks within 24 hours of admission and accompanying notes in medical record.
- Assists and supports patients in day-to-day activities including, but not limited to waking routines, morning hygiene, nighttime routine, evening hygiene, bathroom observations, and safety overnight observations.
- Able to effectively and professionally establish rapport with patients.
- Provides milieu management throughout the treatment experience and communicates with all team members.
- Assists in the implementation of the comprehensive treatment plan in the milieu.
- Contributes to the well-being of all patients by serving as a positive role model.
- Engages in brief “check ins” wherein patients are provided with support and guidance in using coping skills.

Overnight Eating Disorder Technician (Overnight ED Tech) is responsible for assisting and supporting patients through the entire treatment experience from admission through discharge. Overnight ED Tech is responsible for contributing insightful, practical, and meaningful information to the treatment planning process. Overnight ED Tech responsibilities primarily include ensuring patient safety, conducting routine safety observations, maintaining a safe and clean therapeutic environment, and supporting patients.
Responsibilities
Stay awake to ensure a closely supervised, safe, and therapeutic environment during the overnight and early morning hours- Completes overnight checklist, including light household cleaning and temperature checks
- Supports patient during admission processes. This may include checking in patient belongings, acclimating patient to the program and milieu.
- Effectively and professionally communicates with families/loved ones, as appropriate.
- Completes relevant tasks within 24 hours of admission and accompanying notes in medical record.
- Assists and supports patients in day-to-day activities including, but not limited to waking routines, morning hygiene, nighttime routine, evening hygiene, bathroom observations, and safety overnight observations.
- Able to effectively and professionally establish rapport with patients.
- Provides milieu management throughout the treatment experience and communicates with all team members.
- Assists in the implementation of the comprehensive treatment plan in the milieu.
- Contributes to the well-being of all patients by serving as a positive role model.
- Engages in brief “check ins” wherein patients are provided with support and guidance in using coping skills.
- Objectively and accurately documents patient progress on a daily basis.

Eating Disorder Technician 1 (ED Tech 1) is responsible for assisting and supporting patients through the entire treatment experience from admission through discharge. ED Tech 1 is responsible for contributing insightful, practical, and meaningful information to the treatment planning process. ED Tech 1 responsibilities primarily include ensuring patient safety, providing milieu interventions, leading psychoeducational groups, and supporting patients.

The Diet Technician/Counselor supports our clients through their daily activities and the dietary component of the program. Job Description
Eating Disorder Technician 1 (ED Tech 1) is responsible for assisting and supporting patients through the entire treatment experience from admission through discharge. ED Tech 1 is responsible for contributing insightful, practical, and meaningful information to the treatment planning process. ED Tech 1 responsibilities primarily include ensuring patient safety, providing milieu interventions, leading psychoeducational groups, and supporting patients.
Responsibilities
- Supports patient during admission processes. This may include checking in patient belongings, acclimating patient to the program and milieu.
- Effectively and professionally communicates with families/loved ones, as appropriate.
- Completes relevant tasks within 24 hours of admission and accompanying notes in medical record.
- Assists and supports patients in day to day activities including, but not limited to: waking routines, morning hygiene, meals, nighttime routine, evening hygiene, bathroom observations, and free time.
- Provides milieu management throughout the treatment experience and communicates with all team members.
- Assists in the implementation of the comprehensive treatment plan in the milieu.
- Contributes to the well-being of all patients by serving as a positive role model.
- Engages in brief “check ins” wherein patients are provided with support and guidance in using coping skills.
- Responsible for facilitating psychoeducational groups for the expected length of time identified in the program schedule.

Job Description
The Diet Technician/Counselor supports our clients through their daily activities and the dietary component of the program. Some of the typical duties on shift include menu planning with clients, correcting meal plans, grocery shopping, tracking dietary budgets, preparing meals for clients, consuming meals alongside our clients to offer support in the moment, and communicating observations with our treatment team.
Responsibilities
- Purchasing all grocery items for facility, considering variety, special diets, and food safety
- Maintaining a well-stocked kitchen
- Upholding proper sanitation requirements
- Analyzing food service providers to ensure quality products at cost effective prices
- Monitoring client consumption of appropriate exchange pattern
- Cooking and baking with clients as therapeutically recommended by Dietitian
- Participating in restaurant experiences
- Enforcing dietary program and advise clients appropriately on food choices
- Conducting weekly client calorie counts
- Monitor clients in a milieu settling
- Run menu planning groups
- Ability to respond promptly in response to support coverage for vacations, time off, call offs, etc.

Qualifications
- Must have a thorough knowledge of nutrition and dietary interventions in the mental health field
- The Diet Tech/Counselor must have experience in dietary education
- Ability to communicate with persons from all educational and cultural backgrounds
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must demonstrate tact, initiative, resourcefulness, a professional manner, enthusiasm, and a non-judgmental attitude
- Be self-motivated and creative
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of the medical consequences of eating disorders, the hazards of re-feeding and how to avoid complications
- Ability to implement an individualized menu plan for each of the different types of eating disorders
- Ability to implement specific dietary exchange patterns through knowledge of portion size and caloric recommendations set by the Registered Dietitian
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries with staff and clients

Eating Disorder Technician 1 (ED Tech 1) is responsible for assisting and supporting patients through the entire treatment experience from admission through discharge. ED Tech 1 is responsible for contributing insightful, practical, and meaningful information to the treatment planning process. - One year of experience in mental health treatment OR a Bachelor’s degree
- Obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire
- Obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire

- Must possess a current driver’s license and be in good standing

Job Description
Eating Disorder Technician 1 (ED Tech 1) is responsible for assisting and supporting patients through the entire treatment experience from admission through discharge. ED Tech 1 is responsible for contributing insightful, practical, and meaningful information to the treatment planning process. ED Tech 1 responsibilities primarily include ensuring patient safety, providing milieu interventions, leading psychoeducational groups, and supporting patients.
Responsibilities
- Supports patient during admission processes. This may include checking in patient belongings, acclimating patient to the program and milieu.
- Effectively and professionally communicates with families/loved ones, as appropriate.
- Completes relevant tasks within 24 hours of admission and accompanying notes in medical record.
- Assists and supports patients in day to day activities including, but not limited to: waking routines, morning hygiene, meals, nighttime routine, evening hygiene, bathroom observations, and free time.
- Provides milieu management throughout the treatment experience and communicates with all team members.
- Assists in the implementation of the comprehensive treatment plan in the milieu.
- Contributes to the well-being of all patients by serving as a positive role model.
