We’re looking for a true team player with a passion for growing plants to serve as a Cultivation Trainee for our operations. Responsibilities
Partner with Head Grower to execute against assigned grow operations and projects
Responsible for directing work with the Grow Team and ensuring team works at and above GTI Grow Team expectations
Manage, supervise and direct the activities of assigned staff; make recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, termination or advancement of employees. Assign work and monitor progress; guide, train and develop employees in the accomplishment of their duties and goals through professional growth
Direct and assist management of grow schedules, personnel and quality assurance practices
Assure compliance with local, state, and federal licensing requirements
Accurate data entry in inventory tracking systems
Will be required to be on-call and to respond to emergency situations at any time. This may include scheduling issues, potentially covering a vacant shift, facility issues and/ or human resources requirements.

Qualifications
Associates Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, related science degree or 5+ years in production agriculture environment
2+ years of commercial cultivation experience
Proven experience in overseeing aspects of professional production environments including equipment handling, production operations, processing and execution
Knowledgeable of growing methods including micronutrients, beneficial bacteria, and nutrient implementation
Knowledge of plant diseases, insects, and fungi, as well as plant treatment options
Strong knowledge of plant varieties with high yield and /or disease and insect resistant characteristics
Cannabis growing experience preferred, not required
Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
Possesses a high level of critical thinking
Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of GTI

ROLE SUMMARY
This training program will prepare you for a future in the cannabis industry and assist you in finding the right position for your skills. We are looking to train individuals who love working with their hands and in an cultivation and manufacturing environment. We will train employees in all aspects of the facility from seed to final product. This is an ideal position for individuals who are able to work full-time, flexible hours, and is available weekends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Individuals selected will rotate their training with multiple trainers in order to learn the processes for each department. The individual will work in various sectors of the production and cultivation departments assisting with tasks delegated by the management team. The selected candidate must become familiar with and follow all company policies, procedures and safety policies.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the daily compliance policies are met, including compliance with the state, security protocols, access protocols, the dress code and work schedule.
- Duties will include operating various machines and material handling.
- Comply with all standard operating procedures and requirements.
- Performing assigned tasks to company standards including safety and General Manufacturing Practices.
- Communicate workflow and subjects matters to necessary personnel.
- Perform production reporting as required and enter information in the Biotrack system.
- Maintain quality control and compliance with the use of Biotrack.
- Learn and follow protocols for plant systems.
- Use, maintain, and operate equipment in the facility.
- Maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the production area, all staging areas and facility at all times, including routine cleaning and sterilization of equipment and infrastructure Inform the direct supervisor if a possible delay or problems occur with the pruning process.
MANUFACTURING DEPARTMENT
Preroll
- Preroll product on production lines in an organized manner.
- Prepare storage trays, examine quantities and barcodes.
- Control the quantity and type of product to be packed.
- Maintain accurate records and logs as required.
Flower
- Package flower in an organized manner.
- Print corresponding batch labels, add to the Certificate of Analysis and production log.
- Participate in weekly inventory checks.
- Provide detailed information to adjust the quantity of batches and packaged product in the system.
Oil
- Pack product on production lines in an organized manner.
- Control the quantity and type of product to be packed.
- Dispense accurate quantity of such product.

- Take instruction and assist with tasks delegated by the management team. Assist in other departments as needed (Cloning, Mothers, Transplant or Flowering).
- Participate in harvest and processing if needed.
Cultivation Technician
- Clone, transplant, water, fertilize, defoliation, trellising, staking, harvest and processing.
- Maintain plant health throughout the cultivation process.
- Work with cultivation team to determine changes needed based on the nutritional and/or environmental needs of the crop.
- Assist in production processes for designated stages of plant growth.
- Examining plants for signs of pests or disease.
Propagation Technician
- Execute proper techniques, timings, required pre-treatments, appropriate growing media, container usage, and/or any other specialized requirements in preparation for propagation takes place in a timely and coordinated manner
- Proper spacing, air circulation, and sun/shade exposure is monitored and adjusted in a timely manner and is effective in maintaining plants in optimum health.
Flower Processor
- Assist in process including intake, drying, curing, trimming, and packaging flower.
- Acclimate methods to various strains and flower types while making quality control decisions and alterations as needed.
- Participate in weekly inventory checks.
- Assist in managing dry rooms based on harvest.
