We are hiring a Quality Technician, responsible to ensure products are delivered on schedule that meet quality specifications. This role is a key role in the organization that has opportunity to move into a leadership position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs quality inspection of finished goods and intermediary products
- Provide updates to and assure compliance with our GMP management system
- Create and revise existing quality standard operating procedure documents as necessary
- Interact with production leadership to ensure orders are delivered to specifications.
- Support special projects and key collaboration initiatives
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Develop effective working relationships with production team, supervisors, and support staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience writing Standard Operating Procedures in a manufacturing setting
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance knowledge
- Self-driven to manage multiple concurrent projects, record keeping and planning skills, time management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to an evolving environment
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years or more experience in planning or materials management. Higher-level related degrees, i.e., Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience.
- Technical Writing experience (3+ years)
- Experience working in a regulated environment, natural health product manufacturing, or knowledge of the Hemp/Cannabis industry, is a plus
Physical Requirement:
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
- Work is performed in an open collaborative office environment, cleanroom/lab, and production floor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

We are looking for a Production Technician Supervisor. The supervisor is responsible for managing the production team to execute the weekly production plan. This involves leading the team in the preparation of supplies, materials, equipment, and packaging final products. Success is measured in achieving safety, quality, and production goals, and building a highly effective team.
Supervisory Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Organize, direct, and oversee the schedules and work of production techs
- Provide constructive and timely performance feedback and deliver documented annual evaluations for production techs
- Onboards and trains new hires, and facilitates cross-training of team members by varying station assignments
- Accountable for enforcing the Employee Handbook policies and associated HR duties for 3-8 direct reports.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible to achieve the production plan put forward by the planning department
- Provides input into developing the production plan
- Collaborates with other supervisors to coordinate activities within department
- Evaluates, analyzes, and assesses daily production rates and identifies opportunities to optimize.
- Reports target production rates in daily production planning meeting
- Regularly inspects products for defects. Addresses issues without hesitation in partnership with the Quality Control lead.
- Oversees production operations and troubleshoots issues that arise with effective problem solving skills.
- Ensures all stations are cleaned and set up for next day’s production at the end of every shift
- Support special R&D projects and other duties as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
- A minimum of 10 years experience working in a warehouse/manufacturing facility, or related experience.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing setting
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills with proven track record of building high functioning teams
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Thorough understanding of, or the ability to quickly learn, production operations and machinery.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.
- Knowledge about hemp derived cannabis products is preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
- Must be able to traverse the production facility.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
- Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
- Wear PPE in accordance with policy.
