Job Specifications:
Perform plant maintenance, feedings and irrigation events, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) according to a set schedule and SOP, as determined by the Director of Cultivation.
Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.
Aid in the effort to properly execute all pertinent cultivation tasks including, but not limited to:
Plant management
- Propagation
- Defoliation
- Canopy management
- Installation of trellis system
- Transplanting
- Mixing soil additives
- Feeding/watering
- Carefully executing safe transportation of plants
- Proper harvesting and recording of plants
- Aid in the effort to properly dry and cure all product
- Observe and immediately address issues with plants, equipment, or environments to the Director of Cultivation
- Implement a mother plant maintenance program with oversight from the Director of Cultivation
- Manicuring and Trimming as needed
- Ensure all cultivation areas have required supplies
- Adhere to industry standards and waste disposal procedures set forth by regulatory standards of all cultivation supplies
Clean and Sanitize
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times
- Cleaning of all grow spaces as well as the fish room
- Thoroughly clean each flower room after harvest
- Sweep/vacuum/sanitize floors
- Vacuum and sanitize grow tables
- Power wash walls when appropriate
- Clean all cultivation areas including hallways ensuring a clean work environment daily
- Regularly sanitize tools, equipment, and production areas used in the cultivation facility to ensure sanitary practices
- Assist in inspections, whether initiated internally or through a governing entity, using inventory and compliance audits
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements and Experience:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must have reliable transportation
- High School Diploma or equivalent (basic math skills)
- Abide by high personal hygiene standards
- Candidate must be a self-starter, flexible to work in a collaborative structure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Previous manufacturing/laborer experience preferred but not required
- Candidate must have the ability to listen well and communicate effectively, work independently with given directives, and work well in a team-orientated environment
- Candidate must be, and remain, compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry (PSNP Resources, LLC and Vertica Farms will do its best to provide you with all compliance regulations)
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience
- Knowledge and adherence to the policies (including confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement), procedures, and goals of PSNP Resources, LLC and Vertica Farms
- Availability to work a flexible schedule
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, and reach for at least 4 hours at a time.
- Must be able to work in manufacturing facilities with moderate to loud noise level and changing working conditions. May require use of safety equipment or personal protective equipment, as needed.
- This position will frequently be exposed to extremes in temperatures. Must be able to responsibly self-regulate water breaks, when necessary, to protect one’s health.
- Occasional exposure to loud machines (ear protection provided) and extremely bright lights (eye protection provided).
- Occasional weekend or extended hours may be necessary during certain phases of plant production.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
